Best Disney gift card deal you've ever seen?

A week or two ago, there was a small ad in our Winn Dixie circular that said if you buy $300 worth of gift cards, you get $50 off the price. So I took $250 out of our Disney fund, and in return, I got $300 in Disney gift cards! An instant additional $50 into my fund! I thought that was an awesome deal - I wish someone would do something like that again!

Anyway, I was wondering, what is the best deal you've ever seen for Disney gift cards? It just seems like people talk so much about trying to get the best price for a Disney vacation - resort or package - but if you can save on gift cards to pay for that vacation then your vacation costs even less!

I'm glad I saw this post because I was going to ask if you could use Disney gift cards to pay off your vacation. Giant Eagle has .20 off a gallon of gas for every $50 you spend on gift cards. Considering I need to pay a little over $3000 that could turn into a free tank of gas!

That deal you got is basically 16.67% off Disney. Nice, for sure, but nothing compared to the incredible 33.33% off Disney that the Texas grocery store H-E-B offered last December.

I bought 80 $15 gift cards ($1200 total) and received 80 $5 H-E-B gift cards ($400) back. H-E-B has the lowest prices on groceries in Texas, and the $400 was as good as cash.

I wish I had bought 120 $15 gift cards ($1800 total). I would have used that amount on my January vacation. You can consolidate the Disney Gift cards into any amounts by calling the number on the back of the cards during normal business hours. They can do it over the phone (takes about 1 minute per card) or they'll give you an email address to send the card numbers and they'll consolidate them for you.

Whoa I would have written the same exact thing! Freaky! I bought the same amount at HEB and we went to WDW in Jan. this year. I brought the 12 GCs and paid off my tab which was mostly tips from our "free dining" and other minor charges. Yes that was an awesome deal, hope we see it again soon!

Yep. I am hoping they bring that yellow coupon back this December. I always check the gift card rack each time I go there.

This past June Stop & Shop (in NJ) had a deal where if you bought a $50 gift card you received a $15 coupon off your next order. They were allowing you to use this on another gift card which gave you another $15 coupon. This had to be the best deal ever! 30% off Disney Gift cards!!! I am not sure exactly how much I bought but it was ALOT to help pay for our trip next year.
