Hello Disney food experts. Please let me know what you think...

We are staying at BWV and would like to know what you consider to be the best dinner within walking distance of our resort... This would include BWV, BC/YC or Epcot. (excluding San Angel Inn, as we already have that planned for one evening).

We don't mind rowdy/noisy atmospheres (actually prefer them) and quiet / "fancy" restaurants aren't really what we want.

Suggestions?

Thanks!

That's easy - Flying Fish Cafe. Not only are they one of the top seafood restaurants in Florida, but they have the best steak I've ever tasted. Better than Shula's, Yachtsman, Le Cellier and Concourse Steak House.

And it's right on the Boardwalk!

***********, you took the words right off of my keyboard; Flying Fish is great usually not real quiet.

Flying Fish vote here......We always try to eat there at least once....

ANother vote for the Flying Fish. We also love Palio at the Swan, but it's more on the quiet side. Great food though.

I agree with Flying Fish. But if you have another meal in mind go to the buffet at Cape May Cafe, BC. The food is excellent and it's all-you-can-eat salad, seafood, "land lovers" food and dessert for $20 last I went. The kids can draw on the table paper and it's bright and cheery. Stroll back to BWV in the dark and enjoy the lights glistening off the lake.

I agree that FF is terrific. I have always had a good meal there. Also, you can't go wrong with Spoodles - we have always had good food there as well.

You can walk into the back of Epcot and eat in France, UK or Morrocco.... we ate at Marakkesh and really enjoyed that. Cape May is a nice character breakfast. ESPN is a fun, casual spot on the BW.

Cape May gets my vote. It is the best buffet at WDW, JMHO!

Cape May is now $23.99 for dinner. I think all of the buffet prices went up. :(

I hear a lot about Cape may. What types of things are in their buffet?? What types pf seafood?

I also hear a lot about the Flying Fish That sounds cool too.

Thank you all for your help Dh and I are getting excited!!!!!

Thanks!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

At Cape May Cafe picture the buffet is a big square. One side is seafood, soups & breads, one side is all salad, one side is all "American" food and the 4th side is dessert and kids food.

When I was there the seafood was steamed clams, steamed oysters, maybe crab legs, and they had cold shrimp on the salad bar. Land food changed nightly, rotissery chicken, roast beef, the best mashed potatoes, I would even crusie the kids bar and get some mac & cheese and fried shrimp. My son is a picky eater and my DH is a big eater so we were all satisfied. We stayed in BC so we found it convienent and a good value for the amount and quailty of food we got. We ate there serveral times in 2 trips.

Another vote for Flying Fish!
Even the salads are fantastic!

Have a great time!

i can not thank you all enough!!! DH and I really appreciate it!!!

lovethemouse2

Can I really get something off of the kids bar too!!!

I am not into the steamed seafood all that much, DH does, but I did see that there were some of my FAVS on the kids bar!!! Mac n cheese and fried shrimp and chicken fingers!!!. I do not eat Beef either so that takes away from my options too. But I do however love chicken and fried shrimp.

We do not have any kids with us so do I just tell the waitress that I want food from the kids buffet too or do I just walk on over there?

Thank you all so very much!!!!

Deah

They don't care about the kids bar. It's all for the taking. And the kids bar is part of the main bar so you won't be on display if you partake of the kids section. I don't like mussels either but was MORE than satisfied with their selection. They have yummy vegetables, too! I hate the price went up. At $20 we thought it was a good Disney value. If you have the time you may want to visit and ask to see the buffet before you decide. I'm sure you won't be the first to ask!

I think this is where we are going to go b/c both my husbands and my appetite can be filled!!!!

Thank you for your quick response!!!!

Everyone Have a Wonderful day and for those leaving soon or later have a wonderful and safe trip!!!!

Spoodles or LeCellier. We just got back last night. We thought Flying Fish was just ok (all of our food was oversalted and the meal took a very long time to serve). Spoodles was fabulous and LeCellier was great too. Just my two cents.
