Hi

Planning to take the children to a dinner show during our visit in October. I know they are all "family" shows but wondered what shows are favourites for families with younger children. Ours are 4, 7 and 9.

This will be their first trip to WDW so want to squeeze in every once of fun I can - any other must do recommendations appreciated!

Many thanks in advance

Maria

I personally have only done the Disney dinner shows, but having been visting Disney for the past 5 years, when our children have ranged from 2 to 8, they have all enjoyed the Hoop de Doo at FWC and Spirit of Aloha at the Poly.

Mickeys Backyard Barbeque is fun also, but must admit our 3 DS, aged 7, 6 and 4 last year did find it a little boring towards the end.

we did pirates and the horsy thing.
i would not reccommend either

We have done hoop de doo and mickeys backyard BBQ. The BBQ is seasonal though and not sure if its on in October. My kids were 4,7 and 11 when we went to these 2 shows and loved both. This year the kids asked to go back to hoop de doo and we are also going to see spirit of aloha at the poly.

We travel every October and have attended Mickey Backyard BBque a couple of times now.

I recall it been March through to the end of October:)

We haven't done any of the 'dinner' shows but I would thoroughly recommend Blue Man Group. You could always tie it in with a trip to one of the many restaurants in City Walk either before or after (probably before as you have kids).
All of your kids are of an age that would love it.

We've been to all the Disney dinner shows. We all enjoyed Hoop Dee Doo.I wouldnt do the barbeque again.Didnt find it very organised and kids got upset they never got near the characters on dance floor and food tasteless, really was!!!If I went back to hoop dee doo ,Id pre order fries instead of the mash and horrible beans - none of us ate them!!

hoop de doo is a lot of fun for kids
spirit of aloha is also very entertaining - fire-eaters etc ( my fav- as i love the poly)
Arabian nights we did this as it was free - ok if you love horses

all have mediocre food so don't go for that, and my girls are picky too. :upsidedow

there is plenty to do in the parks at night - the firework displays are amazing, don't think that you have to book night-time stuff as there is a lot to do anyway. We only did them as we had the free dining plan.

Thanks for all the ideas.

I'm favouring the Hoop de doo and Aloha. But based on reviews the Hoop DD is coming out a clear favourite amongst those who have enjoyed both in the past so may opt for that.

We to are on the DDP which is why I thought we would go.

Thanks again!
