Hi everyone,
I finally decided to delurk and join. I am needing some advice on the dinner shows. I want to know which dinner show has the best food and that a 2 year old little girl would enjoy. We thought the luau might be scary for her but then again she might enjoy it with all the dancing :cool1: but this is our very first trip to disney so we know nothing about any of them. :confused3 Any advice would be greatly appreciated. TIA!!

in all honesty, we have never been overly thrilled with the food or entertainment at any of the dinner shows.

hoop de do has dancing and lots of corny jokes that i think would bypass a 2 yr old. the food is the same thing you get at trail's end for 1/3 the price ( except the short cake which was pretty poor)
haven't been to mickey's bbq but that sounds a little more family oriented

we took our older girls ( they were 6,8) to the old luau and they liked it ,the food was ok, again overpriced imo. at that time they had a fire dance that might be scary, don't know if they still do it.

just wondering if a 2 yr old would be willing to sit long enough for any show. maybe try a character meal first and see how she does? ( not sure how long ahead you have to cancel the shows to get your money back)

you can checkout the reviews on review page undr restaurants ( home page) where some said they took 2 yr olds it that will help you decide

I don't know that a two year old will be kept interested for long enough at any dinner show. Frankly, I'd wait until my kid was 2-3 years older.

I have to agree with the above posters. We did Hoop De Doo when DS was 4, he did OK but got a little restless at the end. I have a DD who will turn 2 at the end of September. I couldn't even imagine taking her to a dinner show, she would never sit that long. Maybe yours is different, but I think most 2 yo have a 30 second attention span. :)

I don't think a 2 year old would enjoy any of the dinner shows at WDW. They are fairly expensive, and don't have a lot of selections for younger children. I would save the dinner shows until at least 6 years old or so.

She was OK with it. It didn't scare her. Didn't really interest her that much either. Of course, since she's not yet 3, you're not paying for her either! :cool1: Maybe Mickey's Backyard BBQ might be a better choice for young'uns :confused3 I think whatever you do, you'll enjoy it more than her, so make it fun for you. If you're having a good time, she will too.
