Hi! What is the best dinner to order at Yachtmans. I've never been there and I wonder what is especially good. Free dining in 32 days!

If you love steak, I really don't think that it's possible to get a "bad" meal there. I've had the bone-in ribeye which was amazing (although I wasn't too crazy about the marrow as a side), and DH had the porterhouse and was likewise thrilled with his selection. Happy eats! :goodvibes

That is really up to your personal preference. Some people adore filets, others like NY strips and still others are rib eye fans. All the steaks are good, so it just really depends on what you like.

I have not been happy with the New York or the ribeye here. The New York is my favorite cut but I've tried it twice here and was unimpressed. The ribeye was the wait staff recommendation on my last visit and again, I was underwhelmed. I don't know if it's because I like my meat almost raw, but the cuts have been extremely tough; hard to cut and hard to chew.

I'm not a filet person but the filet has been the best beef dish I have had here.

We were there in August and I had their version of steak au poivre which is a NY strip with peppercorn sauce. I really enjoyed it. DBF had the rib eye and didn't care for the seasonings. we'll go back someday and I'd like to order the steak au poivre again.

Porterhouse combines the best of both worlds - a filet and a strip ... but it is a little trickier to cook. One of the few places I'd trust to cook it properly would be the Yachtsman
