We are popping into MK for a last minute trip this weekend and have NO dining reservations. We'll be at MK all day- can anyone give us the best tips on where to eat without reservations??

I suppose I'll call each day to see if anything pops up!

THANKS!!!!!!

Last December myself and three of my friends from Orlando went to Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch without an ADR's and got seated within 5 minutes of putting a name down, plus the waiting area was very busy with others who were waiting for their table to called. Now I am not going to say that will happen again to you, however things like that have happened before.

You can always eat at the Columbia Harbour House. Eat in the upstairs part - it is very peaceful and relaxing. We ate up there with another family (total of 3 kids and 4 adults) - there was almost no one there. THe food is pretty good - I tried one of their new salads and really liked it. In the past we have also been able to get into the Plaza Restaurant for lunch without a reservation.

I thought they always keep that section closed off?

Keep checking. There can be cancellations up to the last minute. On November 30, I cancelled Liberty Tree Tavern about an hour and a half before our ADR because DD (3) declared there was no way she was eating any more turkey (the only thing she will eat there). I spent a month and a half online about 5 times a day trying to get that ADR too!

Kona is a good one to try. I was able to get an ADR for later that evening last February when I called at 4:30 in the afternoon.
I also second the Columbia Harbour House suggestions! It's my favorite CS in MK!

Another vote for Columbia Harbour House. We love it there. No the upstairs seating is not always roped off, we have eaten up there on 4 different trips.
Last trip we also went to Cosmic Rays for the first time. DS and his girlfriend each had the chicken and ribs combo. It was great, very moist and tasty.
I think you need to plan on CS and keep trying for a TS ressie to open up. That way you won't be disappointed if all you are able to eat is CS.
We ate at the Plaza years ago and it was lots of fun. But remember it is mainly sandwiches and ice cream treats in a TS environment.
I love Kona Cafe at the Poly, but in my experience it has been completely booked in advance. But it is a great one to keep trying for.
Perhaps the Wave at the CR will open up. Since it is new it is less well known. It had gotten good reviews here on the DIS.
Good Luck

Love the columbia harbour house!
Wow i didnt even know they had an upstairs. We usually went around 11:30 and always got a nice seat downstairs before the mad rush. Thats good to know for next time so i dont have to worry too much about getting a seat.

I have had good luck at the Crystal Palace in the past. There was a wait of about 20 minutes or so, but I did not find that to be an issue.

Ditto Columbia Harbor House. Pecos Bill's has a topping bar for burgers and taco salad with (among other things) grilled onions, mushrooms, fresh salsa. Pinocchio Village Haus is near Small World and has pizza, chicken (like Columbia Harbor House), salads, and a kids menu with PB&J and mac & cheese.

I am going to be a bit different and suggest Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe because it's got a great atmosphere and different selections for those that might not want the same thing to eat.

We like Pecos Bill's and Columbia Harbor house if we have to eat counter service. We try to go at a non-busy "off" time.

Same here! It was during free dining and City Hall that morning had told me that every TS resturaunt was booked solid.
