Trying to make final decisions on which places to eat while at WDW in August (free dining!!!) Anyway, it is me, DH, DD7 & DD4. Please tell me which places you love to eat and why....I would love to get some ideas...

TIA :thumbsup2

I have 3 dd's..4,3, and 5 months..the older 2 love...Crystal palace for breakfast, 1900 Park Fare for dinner ( i like this one too..good buffet), we all love Le Cellier..they are both big steak eaters, but they also love the cheddar cheese soup...Liberty Tree tavern is another good one, and the character interaction has always been good.

Hey Shannon,
Just wanted to say that your DD's names are BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Hey Familyfirsttimer, I grew up in Holland, Pa!

My DD really enjoyed Chef Mickey's. The character interaction was great. We had an early ADR. I think it was around 5 or 5:30pm. We were the first :thumbsup2 group to go in for dinner and had characters in our area the entire meal!

My DD6 likes Park Faire for dinner too. Of course, she likes the Storybook Princess meal in Norway. However, she loves the sticky wings at Kona Cafe-this is the meal she's looking forward to when we return in Sept. :thumbsup2

She also enjoys 50's Primetime Cafe and next time I plan to book an ADR (I better book it soon) for dessert at SciFi. I think she would enjoy eating in a car. Also, being a kid, she loves the food courts-likes to pick her own meal out.

Our 2 children really enjoy the character meals. Our must-do's are the following:

Chef Mickey's for breakfast
Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast or lunch
Crystal Palace for breakfast or lunch
Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner

This year, we're also trying the character meals at Donald's Breakfastasauras, PSB breakfast (we didn't like the food at the PSB dinner last year), & lunch at Garden Grill.

Last year, we enjoyed dinner at Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge & dinner at 'Ohana at the Poly. This year, we're trying dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge, dinner at San Angel Inn, & lunch at Tony's Town Square in the MK. I'm already missing 'Ohana - thinking about switching our WCC ADR for one at 'Ohana...

We also schedule a Fantasmic Dinner Package (FDP). Last year, our FDP was at Hollywood & Vine, but we didn't care for it. This year, we're trying Mama Melrose's for our FDP.

Our children really enjoyed O'Hana's, 1900 Park Fare, and Teppanyaki. Our 3 yr. old now insisit on eating rice with chopsticks all the time after eating at Teppanyaki! All three places were fun and very kid friendly. Coconut races at O'Hanas was fun for children and adults!! Hope these suggestions help :)

If you look back a little ways in the Disney Resaurants section I did a post "If you were to ask the kids"
I got a ton of great answers you may want to see.

Thank you!

We just got back from a trip last weekend, and I have to say I was very impressed with children's food options at Disney. At every single place we ate, I was able to find something that my picky 3-year-old would eat. We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside, and the food court there is pretty good. We also ate at Boatwright's there and found good options for the munchkin. In the park, we were able to get kids meals with grapes, chicken, and cheese - all DD's favorites. We ate at 1900 Park Fare at Grand Floridian for the Cinderella dinner - a good buffet. Boatwright's was my favorite, though.

My kids are ds5 and dd2. For table service, we loved Whispering Canyon Cafe. We also like O'hana and Spoodles.

For character meals we liked Crystal Palace. Chef Mickey's had great character interaction, but BAD food.

My son also loved the Hoop De Doo.

Hey there! Just got back from a wonderful trip and had my 5yo DS along. We ate at Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, Rainforest Cafe, Whispering Canyon, and the Hoopdy Doo Review. He LOOOOOVVVEEDDD them ALLL!! His absolute favorites where Chef Mickey's and the Hoopdy Doo Review! I have also eaten at Sci-Fi Cafe adn that was pretty good. I know alot of people like O'hana's and 50's Primetime Cafe also. Good luck and wherever you go, you guys will have a wonderful and magical time! After all its Disneyworld!!:) :bounce: :bounce:  :cool1: :cool1:

We ate at Chef Mickey's for "breakfast" at 11:20 but it was really lunchtime and my kids ate great. Mickey waffles, eggs, fruit, dessert. They also liked the atmosphere of SciFi, and loved Crystal Palace for supper. We all had a wonderful time and dinner at Whispering Canyon and the kids especially enjoyed the bottomless milkshakes. WC didn't even charge for my then 2 year old's skillet! I have to mention that my 5 year old loved Pizza Planet and although the food wasn't outstanding the excitement of my son more than made up for the average pizza!

My nepew always hs to eat at Crystal palace at least once a trip. He loves the parade, the characters and the little kid buffet.

Liberty Tree Tavern-Amazing Character Dinner, very kid friendly and good family style dinner. Magic Kingdom
Whispering Canyon- This is at the Wilderness Lodge, its amazing. The kids will love it. It is a lot like Ohana.
Ohana-Great food, and has games like a Coconut Race. Fun. Polynesian.
Chef Mickey's-Great Character Breakfast, it is a lot of fun. Contempory

As far as the food goes, it doesn't really matter. Other than Victoria and Albert's, every restaurant (even the more upscale ones) have a kids menu with chicken fingers, mac and cheese and the like.

So, I would say to pick some restaurants that you might want to try, and alternate them with ones the kids would appreciate for the theming or the characters.
