Hi I'm looking for the best deluxe resort for me and my friends for our graduation next year. We will be 17,17,17 &18. If I can get pictures, descriptions and why you chose it that would really help! We were looking at value but now we want to go all out since this will be our grad trip :) thanks in advance guys!

Ps.. How you guys get those countdowns on your posts?

Congratulations (in advance). What a fun way to celebrate. :thumbsup2

If you are thinking Deluxe, Wilderness Lodge is one of the most economical options. It is a beautiful setting and close to MK. With your ages though I expect being close to Epcot and HS might be preferable, so Boardwalk or Yacht/Beach Club would be great if you can swing the extra $. AKL would be another economy option (in comparison) but is more remotely located.

To get the ticker in your signature first click UserCP on the upper left of the page when you're logged in, then choose Edit Signature. From there there will be a link to create a countdown ticker, and you can post that in your signature line. Enjoy your trip!

I asked my DD20 and DS 18 and they both said the Beach Club! You will have room to spread out, hang around the entire area of Yacht Club, Beach Club, Boardwalk and you will adore the largest pool on property!

My kids DD23 and DS18, recommend the CR (no surprise to me btw).

Depends on what you want. For pools YC/BC can't be beat. For quality of rooms, I would say CR (although if this is an all girls group the lack of counter space in the bathrooms may pose a problem). For maximizing beds so people don't have to sleep together, you might want to check out the bunkbed rooms at AKL/WL, they would prepare you all for college anyways!

Which parks do you anticipate visiting the most? If MK I would say CR, if anything else I would say YC/BC

Another vote for Beach Club, pool is amazing and can't beat walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. If $ is concern, look into renting points for villas. Congrats of your graduation!!!

I would guess you'll be spending a lot of time at MK so Wilderness lodge would be great for the that and fairly reasonable.

Beach club would be really fun for the pool area.

Just a suggestion...rent DVC points. you'll save a bunch. PM if you'd like more info. Im not a DVC owner and just rented for our upcoming trip. i can't believe how reasonable it is.:thumbsup2

If they like MK and EP Id say one of the monorail resorts
If they really like EP Id say BWI or YC (had a very bad experience at BC)
IF they really like it all you can go with one of the deluxes that is a little bit cheaper but has all the amenities and charms the others have and that's AKL and WL!

I would say the Beach Club! The Beach Club has a fabulous pool area and the access to Epcot and HS is awesome! I would assume kids that age would gravitate to those parks. HS has RNRC, TOT, TSM and Epcot has TT and World Showcase.

Anything on the monorail line would be nice too but there will be a lot more young families. I can see teens liking to hang out on the Boardwalk (I did) and renting bikes after they get burnt out at the parks.

The only problem I can see with BC is a lack of real counter service options. AKL would be great for overall resort appeal, great food choices, and cost. But if I was going to go all out, I might consider the Polynesian. You would have the convenient counter service options, the monorail for MK and can walk to the TTC to catch the Epcot monorail. And the rooms are huge.

I would first set your budget. Deluxe vary a lot in cost. Decide which park you will want to spend the most time in. A monorail Resort is nice but more expensive. Is pool time important? Beach Club might be great. Do you mind sharing beds? In yes, might prefer DCV or two rooms at a moderate.

Something to also consider. Only the 18 year old will be able to make the reservation and everything will have to be done and paid for in her name. Not sure if that is you or not, but that is a pretty big deal with four teens, three of them underage.
