I'll admit, I'm not good at hunting out bargains.
I have a premium AP, and I go solo most of the time. My BFF is in town for an indefinite period. She just left her husband and drove from their home in Washington to stay down here with her parents. Money is tight for the both of us. I'd really like to take her to Disneyland at least one day while she's in town.
I'd like to create a Disney memory for just the two of us. Its not necessary to do both parks, but it would be nice. We went to CA together as girl scouts when it first opened, and it would be nice to experience the recent changes with her. And we did DL a few years ago when she came down to visit with her husband, but they were newlyweds and I was a third wheel (of course, they've kept their marriage secret all these years, but almost gave it away on that trip when she tried getting him to buy the bride and groom mickey ears!).
So here's the thing- I really want to surprise her with this trip, but the best deal I can find is a 3-day parkhopper for $99 with a military discount. She's military so she can buy that ticket, but it wouldn't be much of a surprise. I'd rather hand her a ticket than hand her cash to go buy her own ticket. I'm unemployed at the moment, so I'll be scraping together pennies to make this happen. Is there another deal comparable to the military discount?
