I've scrolled through and learned so much for all your posts, thank you!

Looking for some advice on which are the best days to head to the parks? It looks like a lot has changed since our last trip and my head is swirling on what days would be best. We are pretty casual park people - just like being there and doing what we can, would like to avoid crowds as much as possible (though understand the parks are always busy now) and will spend 2 days in each park. We originally were going to spend Mon (17) and Wed (19) in DLR and Tue (18) and Thurs (20) in DCA to avoid the crowds but from what I'm reading I'm not sure it will make a difference being there on the weekdays and might be nicer to have days off in between? We have nothing planned for the days that we aren't in the parks aside from pool time, shopping, relaxing, etc.
  • In Anaheim from April 13-22
  • 13th and 22nd are travel days = no parks
  • We have 4 days, 2 in each park (we like to spend 2 in each)
  • No hopper
  • Dapper Day is April 16th
  • Throwback Nites are April 18/20
  • Food and Wine is on
  • Imagine Keys are blocked 14/15/16/21
  • Enchant Keys are blocked 15th
  • No restrictions for Believe Keys
Really appreciate anyone who has taken the time to read this ramble and even more if you save me from my own analysis paralysis :)

I would say if you are at all interested in Fireworks or Fantastic you need to choose a Friday, Saturday or Sunday to be in Disneyland. Based on the info you have listed above I would say maybe do Disneyland either the 15th or 21st with the 15th having a slight edge because 2 of the Magic Keys are blocked vs just 1 being blocked.

I think I would do 15th DL 17th DCA 19th DL and 21st DCA though you could switch the 19th and 21st if you want more opportunities to see the weekend entertainment at Disneyland or you like to end you trip in Disneyland ;)

Also 4 day single park tickets are $395 and 5 day single park tickets are $415 so since you have so many days in Anaheim you might think about doing 5 days instead of 4 for the extra $20 a person and adding a 3rd day at Disneyland. That still gives you 3 rest/shopping/pool days in addition to your travel days. If you add the 5th day I would do DL on the 14th.

Thanks so much for your insight! I think we will take advantage of some of the blocked dates and go with the plan monkeypat83 outlined. And good call on the fifth day. We went back and forth on it but think we’ll do it and take our time. Can’t wait!
