Let me start by saying,I loved universal as much as disney. IOA is my favorite of all!!! (I was running with my ds to get pics with the xmen) I Have ALWAYS been crazy about the Xmen and their comics so when they came riding in to IOA I was having a heart attack :yay: Anyhow I want to make sure that my US/IOA time is just as well planned out as my disney time. So from all you universal/IOA experts out there which of my days would be the best/least crowded to go? We are arriving on 9/03(sunday) leaving on 9/12(Tuesday) I had IOA planned on wed.9/06 and universal for fri.9/08 so how does that sound to you experts? Will the crowds be bad on those days? I have to be careful with my disney plans because we are staying offsite so I have to plan on avoiding the parks on the early entry days...thanks in advance.

Any answers? I am looking for the same type of info for end of August.

For the end of August, it doesn't matter. The kids go back to school and the parks become a ghost town. The tradeoff is that the parks close early, at 7pm.

Back to the first post, there is something to consider. If you go 09/03 - 09/05, the parks have fireworks and close at 10pm. After that, there are no more fireworks and the parks close at 9pm. Not a big deal, but the fireworks show is worth seeing once.

The arrive early, leave in the afternoon, come back at night thing is a good idea if you have a rental car and are ok with driving. From noon to 4pm, it's very hot out, and the walkways will be packed.

Thanks! we skipped it last trip-not because we dislike it-but because my DD was 1 inch too short and it was too frustrating for her to be that close and also much older than most kids getting on (she's very short for her age) So I'm trying to figure out when to go since she'll be riding all the big rides this time.

We visit from the UK every year, from mid-August onwards the crowds are much lighter and very manageable.

I agree that , especially with the high temperatures that it is a good idea to get to the parks early.

Oh my goodness 6pm closing in september. Why? 6p.m. My goodness. This extra three day trip to universal was going to cost me 800, dollars. Not to mention the added food I have to pay for, and the extra transportation monies to even get from Mco to the hilton. Then from there to Disney. I figured my DS12, and i would be able to go from morning to at least 8p.m. I am so disappointed in these hours. I really feel bad about this early closing time. Geez. I should have looked this up before. :guilty:
