Best days for us?

We will be at WDW 2 days, Universal/Islands of Adventure 3 days, and SeaWorld 1 day. We'll be arriving on May 12th and leaving on the 19th and these are the days and dates we'll have in the parks:

Friday/13th
Saturday/14th
Sunday/15th
Monday/16th
Tuesday/17th
Wednesday/18th

What days are best for what parks? The days for each place do not have to be consecutive.

Will you be staying onsite at Disney? If so would you want to utilize EMH-- morning or evening. Also what Disney parks are you interested in visiting?

We are also from Illinois and will be there around the same time. Here is our itnerary...
Sat. May 14th - arrive, downtown disney for the afternoon, Whispering Canyon for dinner
Sun. May 15th - MK all day
Mon May 16th - MGM all day
Tues. May 17th - Animal Kingdom until 5, then head over to MK again to make sure we get to see Spectromagic and ride some more rides
Wed. May 18th - Seaworld all day
Thursday May 19th - Epcot

Thursday is the only day that we will be able to use the EMH, but that's fine with us. We're hoping that by avoiding the EMH days, the parks may be a bit less crowded.

We won't be staying onsite. We're renting a home for the week. This is our son's graduation present from us. We allowed him to pick what he wanted to do because this may be our last family vacation together. Now we are just trying to figure out which days would be best for each park.

We have 2 day hopper tickets for Disney and a 5 day ticket for USO/IOA (I don't believe they have to be used consecutively) and 1 day tickets for SeaWorld.

Someday we'll go back to Florida, but this may be our last chance as a family before our son goes to college and maybe even moves away...then who knows how much time we'll get to spend together.

Nope, I am in Livingston County...about 90 miles south of Chicago....but I know where Scott AFB is! I have a friend there now!

Did you buy the tickets with the buy 2 get 3 free? If you did, then you have to use the days consecutively. I wasn't sure when I read your post so I checked the Universal website.

I would make a suggestion to try to go to one of the Disney Parks over the weekend. They are usually less crowded then because of people traveling back home. Don't go one Monday. You may want to go to Islands or Sea World then instead. Hope that helps and say Hey to Mickey for me. We will be down there in June.

I would make a suggestion to try to go to one of the Disney Parks over the weekend. They are usually less crowded then because of people traveling back home. Don't go one Monday. The Dis parks are less crowded on weekends? No kidding? Wow, just as a general rule of thumb I have always avoided the parks on weekends. We do DiscoveryCove and SeaWorld those days, or Discovery Cove and a Day off.

as to the original post here is the link to UG updates - there is a link on that page that says "best days" it is only for Disney but hey.

If you are at IOA well before park opens you should be fine there

Well, you are correct and the Universal days do have to be consecutive, but with us only going to 3 out of the 5, couldn't we skip a day or two in the middle of that and go to a Disney or SeaWorld?

We live in TX so it has been a long time since we've done Sea World Orlando (not since we lived in Chicago), but we have season passes to Sea World San Antonio...Anyhow, here I know it is better to do Sea World on a weekday vs. a weekend, crowd wise. I would really think it is probably the same in FL. Tourist crowds are the same, but the locals hit Sea World on the weekends. And since Sea World has great season pass deals (3 years, cost of 4 or 5 one day tickets non discounted--will credit you full price to the season pass upgrade even when discounted ticket (highly available) purchased, so you usually come out ahead at 3 days purchased--good at all Sea World parks, discounts perks, etc.) many locals do buy season passes and go fairly frequently. Just something to consider.
