Best days at Universal/IOA?

Can anyone advise on the best/quietest days of the week to visit? Trip is end April/beginning May.

I think you will be fine most days - weekends will be busier.

I do not think that there would generally be much difference Monday through Friday.
Just not sure whether there are any holidays in the US then?

Obviously Easter period will be busier , for example.

End of April and the beginning of May is a quiet time after spring break.
The only thing you need to look out for in May is school field trips, but there's really no way to plan for that. I posted a thread last year of when my daughter was going, but only a few others posted when their school was going too. The good news about school field trips, is they usually don't arrive until 11am, and they have no way to get express passes. So again, the key tip is to arrive early before the busses show up.

We went on a Monday and it was fairly empty, especially if you show up first thing in the morning (before they oepn). We got on three rides without lines when we first entered the park.

ALso, I think a lot of visitors run to Magic Kingdom on Mondays...

This is definitely true, anybody that arrives in Orlando at the start of the week generally hits MK first - overall it is the most popular park.
