Best day to do Magic Morning week of June 21st?

We are going to DLR during what is supposed to be a crazy busy week. We will arrive on Monday the 21st sometime in the afternoon and be leaving Thursday around 12.
Giving that Tuesday the 22nd is the last AP day before a long block out period, which morning would be best for MM, Tues. or Thurs.? Thanks.

I'd do Tuesday because those SoCal APs won't have MM and you can get a head start on them!

If you think you'll be able to get there before MM starts, I'd probably do Tuesday as well. For one thing there may be long lines to get in at opening, but you will beat all of those by being there early. : )

Another strategy is to just do the earliest day possible (as you're more likely to be fresh for your MM). That would also be 6/22 in your case.

Thanks you two! That was what I was thinking but wasn't sure. Regular rope drop shouldn't be too bad then on Thurs. since APs are blocked? I'm thinking Thurs. will be our day to do what couldn't get to the other days and go on favorites one more time. Thanks again.

Are coming in Tuesday afternoon? Monday and Tuesday are supposed to be crazy. I'm actually a little worried that we won't be able to get into the Park Monday afternoon. I've heard that they stop letting people in if it gets too busy. This whole AP thing is new to me. We haven't been to DL since my daughter was in 5th grade and now she is a Junior in HS!
It's ok, we were lucky enough to go to Kauai for 3 of those years, but I'm so excited to go DL! We would never usually go at this time of year but my DH has convention to attend and we're tagging along.
I'm hopping Wednesday is a little calmer since APs are blocked. We also plan on doing rides during F! and WOC vs. watching the shows.

We are actually arriving the Thursday before (17) until Wednesday the 23. We are DAP holders so we don't get MM unless we stay onsite.

If you can't get into the park right away, hang around DTD and eat lunch or something. They usually open the gates back up (if they reach capacity) after the parade. We were there in December and I guess it reached capacity a few of our days. We didn't even realize it since we left around 1 pm and didn't return until 5 pm. By the time we got back to the parks there was no sign of the park being closed (we actually didn't hear about the closures until I check disBoards). Also with WOC being the big draw, I'm hoping most of the SoCal APs will be in DCA instead of DL.

I've been worried...I did NOT want to go then, but when figuring the schedules of 5 families I had to give in to this one, otherwise there wouldn't be a trip.

It's good to know that DL sometimes opens up again if they have to stop letting people in at some point. I'd hate to pay for a 4 day Hopper and only get to use 3.
I'm hoping the crowds will be at DCA too for WOC. I'd like to see it, but I can skip it if it means DL will be less crowded while it's going on.

The only time I see it staying closed until closing time would be maybe New Years Eve.

I'm sure Monday and Tues are going to be crazy too. But that's the way stubborn husband wants to do it. (we could go tue-sat but husband doesn't want want to drive all day Sun then work Mon.) Whatever....
We'll use the mm Thursday though because of grad night. I am hoping that simply because it is a Monday and Tuesday that it won't actually be the 2 busiest days of the entire year. That said we will enjoy the spectacle, knowing fully what to expect and being completely prepared for it. We never go during the busiest times-- this trip is for the inlaws. We also have our volunteer fast passes, which I've heard people really have been liking.

We are going to be there then also (the 18th-23rd). we are planning on using on MM on the 22d. I thought about using it on the weekend but my sister and her family wont be there yet so I think we'll wait.

Have fun! We are a bit worried about the crowds but we either go then or we have to wait at least 8 months.
