Ok, I know this sounds 'insane' but I am already trying to plan for our trip next July!

Just wanted to get some input from all you DISers on what is the best day to go into the MK. I was told that Monday is definately a no-no since most people arrive in Orlando over the weekend and hit the MK first.

What are your thoughts or experiences?

Your help is greatly appreciated!

I don't have my Unofficial Guide handy...but I know that the Sunday/Monday time frame aren't the greatest days to go..everyone arrives in MCO..and the first place they hit is the MK:)So...Tuesdays or Wednesday...:)

You're going in July?
My best advice would be stay onsite, and GET THERE EARLY.
Why?
Because July is a very busy/hot time of year, and obviously getting there early allows you to do the things you want..as well, staying onsite allows you access to early morning entry, and if the parks reach capacity, you'll still be allowed in

Hope this helps!!

Edited to add:
Just found on the Theme Parks&Attractions Board...

Monday, Thursday and Saturdays are the Worst days to see MK

Ya July will definitely be HOT! Very very hot and rainy. You want to plan activities early in the day, allow for an afternoon break (because it will rain every day) and then evening activities.

As for days to hit the parks, personally I've never noticed any noticable difference in the crowds on one day or another. That being said, though, I've never gone in July. Maybe it's different then.

It's never too early to start planning your trip. I made our reservation for our cruise last October and have been planning since!

You'll be making your PS' before you know it!

I also have to agree that I never really see a difference in crowds on certain days- it all looks the same. We always plan MK on our first day(as I am sure most do), and I never worry about which day of the week it is. Happy planning.

I made the mistake of taking my grandaughter to Magic Kingdom on Monday. Besides being busy, when we went to the rest of the parks they were kind of a let down for her and not nearly as
exciting (in her eyes). I would suggest going on Wednesday.

Have fun and say hi to Mickey for me!!

the day after EE. So if the MK has it on Monday go Tuesday etc.
I have always gone by that rule and never had a problem. Also avoid the American holidays if possible, a few day before and after.ie July 4th

Check out www.tourguidemike.com Costs $22 or through www. mousesavers.com it's only $17. We went last July (104 degrees a couple of days) and only stood in line for more than 10 minutes twice. Followed his advice the entire time and never regretted it. His website isn't the easier to get around, but once you get the hang of it, it's ok. Copy/print off his tour guides to take with you and you can't go wrong. He actually tells you which ride to go on first, second, etc... We'll go again in five years or so and I'd pay $200 for that information again. 4 kids and no lines = a happy family vacation.
