HI all, our passes include DQ. We've never been. Is there a best day and/or time to go? How much time do we need there? My kids are 6,9,12, and the 9yo boy loves games! (like most Im sure).
TIA
Karen

My DH and I did DQ on our last trip and we thought it was a lot of fun! Early afternoon seems to be like a good time to go. Weekends and at night it was crowded. It closes at 11 pm (at least it did when we were there in Oct) so everyone flocked there after the parks closed.

As for how long to spend there, I'm not sure. There are TONS of games to play - arcade, pinball, interactive, simulators. There is also a food court there, so you could eat there too.

Anyone else have a good answer? I'm not sure on how long to spend there, I could stay all day!

Is everything in DQ included with your pass or do things cost money once you're inside. My DD and I are going to try it this time.
Thanks,
Steph.

Just got pack, and had the UPH passes that include DQ.

There are no additional charges for any of games inside DQ. The food is expensive, but no need to eat there.

My DS (10), and DD (8 1/2), and loved DQ, we went at least three times.

DQ opens at 11:30 am. Locals can buy annual passes to DQ for about $55, and if you're going during value season when all Parks except Epcot close early, DQ can get crowded in the late afternoon and evenings.

We stayed on-site (Pop Century) and had a car. So what worked really well for my family was Early Entry in the morning, followed by DQ in the early afternoon. Rest at the hotel with a nap, then back out again for evening activities (fireworks, Epcot (open to 9 pm), Pleasure Island). No crowds at all at DQ in the early afternoon (this was during week of Jan 5-9).

I think I've read that on rainy days, DQ can be more crowded, and that getting there at 11:30 makes some of the wait shorter for the Pirates, Jungle Cruise, and Alladin experiences. We really loved Pirates, and waited about 20 minutes on Sat 1/03. It was tremendous fun.

My boss just got back yesterday and went to DQ with his 6yo son. They spend 4 hours there, and said they had a blast. We're taking one day out of our Feb. trip to do DQ when it opens, then head to HDD for our 7:15 PSs. My boys (10 & 8) and my DH can't wait, I think DH is more excite than the boys!!!!

WOW - when I read this post I thought "That's what I was going to ask!"

So I just wanted to THANK everyone for all the great info. I love the idea of hitting EE then DQ. You know teens (14 & 15) they don't have time to rest, even if Mom and Dad need to.
We will be there Aug 8-17 so I will need all the AC I can get after a hot morning in the parks.

And thanks for asking the question!

Actually there are some things beside food, at DQ that have an extra fee. However, there's plenty to keep you busy without having to pay anything extra. We only went once, but got there when it opened and were the first ones inside. Our very favorite thing to do is the "design your own roller coaster", and then you get to ride it! It was awesome. There was no one else in line first thing in the morning and we were able to ride three times in a row with no wait. Later that morning the lines were longer than we cared to wait, so we moved on to something else.

we also got there first thing in the morning...In fact, we were the very first people let in that morning...absolutely had the place to ourselves for about 1.5 - 2 hours....started to get really crowded around noonish...did everything we wanted to do several times...our favorite was the simulated roller coasters as well...there are some things that cost extra in disney quest, but, it wasn't the attraction itself that cost, but, it was like some of the activities the kids made stuff or they took photos and thats what cost if you wanted to keep these things....haven't went the last couple of trips....Im thinking its time to visit DQ again...I remember it being a lot of fun..

Go on the nicest most beautiful day of your trip and get there at opening. The crowds won't be that bad for the whoole afternoon. Most people will be at the pool or in the park. Since DQ has no windows, it really doesn't matter what the weather is except for the crowds.

Have fun.
