Best day for Animal Kingdom?

As in...least crowded day of the week.

While I'm at it...what would be a good Sunday AM park? (I'm assuming the MK gets pretty busy on Sundays).

On our last trip (July 7-17, 2004), we went to AK on a Sunday. We had always been there during the week and were pleasantly surprised at the lack of wait times and crowds. We walked on It's Tough to Be a Bug, Dinosaur, and Kilimanjaro Safaris. The lines at Camp Minnie-Mickey were small and it seemed easier to get around the park as a whole. We were able to do all of the things we wanted to do by 4:00 (including eat at Rainforest Cafe) and we didn't even get to the park until 11:30. Needless to say, we will be returning next year on a Sunday.

We got back July 4th and hit AK one saturday morning right when it opened; very sparse crowd. We saw it begin to pick up as we were leaving at 2:30 (for MGM).
Sunday--avoid MK. MGM or EPCOT are good Sunday bets.

We went to AK on Sunday during each of our last 3 trips (2 trips in August and 1 trip in June). On one of the trips (don't remember if it was the August or June trip) we went on a Tuesday also, and Sunday by far was the less crowded day.

MGM IS GOOD ON SUNDAYS AS IS EPCOT. THE BEST DAY FOR AK IS SATURDAY. GOODLUCK!!!!!!

Hi!
We are visiting WDW for 2 weeks from 17 September.

Is there a list anywhere of which parks are busiest on which days? I know to avoid Early Morning Entry days (too early for us!) but wasn't sure which days are historically least crowded in each park?

Using the Unoffical Guide and another website (mousesavers or something like that) this is the information we are using to plan our trip. It was also useful to check Disney's park hours and parade/fireworks schedule. Doing that showed us Spectromagic was scheduled only 2 times during our trip. Of course if anyone has anything to add/correct to this post, please do!

MK: FRI, SAT
EPCOT: SAT, SUN
MGM: MON, FRI
AK: TU,THU,SAT, SUN
WATER PARKS: MON, TUE
UNI/IOA: TUE, WED, THUR
SEAWORLD: MON, TUE, WED

Bad Days:
MK: SUN, THU
EPCOT: WED
MGM: TUE, SAT
AK: MON, FRI
WATER PARKS: FRI, SAT, SUN

We went to AK on Tuesday July 13. The previous day was AK's Early Entry, so the crowds weren't at all bad. Our only wait was the Safari, and that was only about 10 minutes. Everything else we did, which wasn't a whole lot, we just walked on. The park was extremely HOT, so go right at opening.

We did MK on Sunday, July 11th using Early Entry. From 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. the park was much more manageable than when we went back on two other days. If you are at the Swan on Sunday, I would highly recommend doing MK's EE in the morning and then switching to Epcot or MGM in the afternoon or later. Sunday morning is actually pretty good at MK because many people are either just starting their vacation or just ending it.

We stayed at the Swan and went back to the room for a nap/swim, then headed out again around 5 or 6 p.m. You miss the hottest part of the day this way.

We were there on July 17th (Saturday) and were thrilled to be able to do so much.We rode the safari twice,kali river rapis 3 times,dinosaur 3 times,primeval whirl twice-saw the lion king show,its tough to be a bug,the parade and ate at the Rainforest Cafe during the day.We also did the walk thru animal treks.It was a great choice for us.Good luck to you.
