I get a night in Magic Kingdom with my Husband. We are west coasters and so not regulars at DW. It there a restaurant that you would recommend? We will be parking at the ticket and transportation center so anything along the Monorail would be fine or in the park.

How old are the kids for your other visits? When mine were littles, our very best date night was a hot dog at Casey’s and riding all the attractions without the kids and stroller in tow. We felt like teens!

If you have hoppers, another option is monorail to Epcot for Monsieur Paul.

I agree with this. A date night is what you make it. My DW and I don't have kids, but we still make it a point to have "date nights" while in WDW. We've had dinner at most of the Signatures, included CG, Narcoossee and Citrico and there is nothing wrong with either of those options. But some of the best date nights have been dressing up slightly, have a quick bite (Casey's is great for this) or maybe a character meal (Crystal Palace in MK), hold hands, walk around, go on a few rides or run around and do all the rides, find a place to sit and people watch when the park closes, and then take our time leaving the park after it has emptied out. It's fun and relaxing and lets you really find your inner youth. It very much gives the feeling of going on a date to like a fair or carnival when you were 16.

A couple years ago we had date night at Ohana's and it was lovely.
It was late at night too. Almost the last service of the night. It was very romantic.

I think it depends on your dining prefrence for food and sytle.

If I had to do it over again I'd do Ohana 100%

I would suggest California Grill. Amazing service, great view of the castle, and all around a nice atmosphere.

I would choose Narcoosee's and try to get a reservation about 1 1/2 hours before the start of the fireworks. The food is AMAZING and the view is incredible. The view from Cali Grill is also wonderful, but we prefer the food at Narcoosee's.

Our kids turned 9 in Disney world last November. This summer we are staying off sight for a family reunion and taking the whole group of 14 to the halloween party. My family is staying after the reunion at the Boadwalk and enjoying the other three parks. With the 4 day park ticket being the same as a three day for adults I decided to jump and have a child free night in Magic Kingdom. thank you all for your feedback. It is very helpful

If not using a park ticket, my preference would be Cali Grill. I love the food plus fireworks! I also liked steakhouse 71 for food options...

Royal Table
Interesting option. We (me, wife and grown son) recently dined there and really enjoyed it. I'm not sure it's a date kind of place but as was noted above, a date is what you make of it. The food was actually good and the table visits by the princesses was fun.

I hear ya and yeah, it depends on what kind of date you want to have. If you're looking for romance, V&A is the pick hands down. But if you're looking for fun, this one is hard to beat. I had lunch there for the first time a couple months ago and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Plus, the decor and character interactions are a lot of fun and its not a rushed meal (we were there for about an hour and forty five minutes). The fact that you get to dine in the castle and can enjoy a stroll through the MK afterward are just the cherry on top

In the MK, if you want fun in the park, and a sit-down, Skipper Canteen might be a sweet spot. Doesn’t take too long, and would leave time to jump on rides

I would vote Citrictos or Cali Grill!! If you are drinkers, having a happy hour drink at one or the other (or at Trader Sam's at the Poly) and then taking the monorail to dinner would be fun!

Not in the MK area, my DH and I had the best date night having a drink at Abracadabar at the Boardwalk, then taking the Skyliner to the Riviera and doing dinner at Topolino's!!! It was dusk and our skyliner ride was SO romantic and magical and the views from Topolino's were amazing.

If you have never been go to the California Grill but you cant go wrong with any signature restaurants. Take time to visit the lounges or a nice walk.
