Best Date for Next Year?

I know its difficult to predict but I live in Australia and am trying to organise a 7 night Xmas trip for 2024 and I need to get organised to book early airfares for the cheapest deals. I am considering either the week after Veterans day (next year that is a Monday) or the week after Thanksgiving which is late next year (Thursday 28th). I am worried that the week after Thanksgiving will fall too much into December and will be too crowded. We would probably arrive on the 30th of November and stay till the 7th giving us 7 days in the parks. I know this sounds like a lot but we want to check out all the entertainment, parades, fireworks, shows and want to do it at a leisurely pace. Our main criteria for date choice is to experience the least crowds we can. We like to rope drop for rides in the morning, have an afternoon rest break at the hotel and return late afternoon for nighttime events. We have already purchased our tickets with G+ for 5 of the 7 days and having used the system before we know how to stack them for evening ride experiences. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

It is -always- crowded now, so I think you should go with the dates that work best for your personal schedule. Veterans Day weekend is super crowded, so I think the following one would be better. I went to Disneyland on Thanksgiving last year and I thought it wasn't too bad.

Thanks for your input. I am thinking the 16th to the 23rd might be a sweet spot. It doesn't really matter to us which week we go but I am leaning towards to that one.

One of my fave trips before we were local was a Dec 15-20 trip. It so put us in Ana amazing frame of mind heading into the holiday week. With your number of days, touring strategy and G+ already booked I think you should pick the days you want and not worry about crowds.

edit: sorry I misread your post, I thought you meant December. I would personally avoid the week before Thanksgiving so would lean toward the Nov 30 arrival, personally. But do what works best for you!

I think either of those will be similar crowds. December usually isn't really too bad until after Christmas through the New Year. Most people have work and school and are getting ready for the holidays. I mean, it will be busy, but not insane in my opinion.

Thanks for your thoughts. I was doing a bit more research today and thought that we might take a couple of days off from the parks during our stay and visit the Aquarium of the Pacific at Long Beach and the Orange Circle Antique Mall as we love antiques. If we do this then we can try and avoid a couple of busier days like say Saturday & Monday and break up our park time. This would also mean we could have a couple of later nights in the parks and avoid rope drop the next day as we could have a sleep in on those other days.
