Best customer ever!

I'm largely indifferent to animals; I don't hate them. I do find people who feel entitled to break rules obnoxious though. I doubt too many people here would be cooing over a "cute" picture of an "adorable" child climbing over the railings at WDW to pet the ducks. :scratchin
I took my Great Dane into Walmart. I didn't get the same reception. Nor with my Doberman. I'd bet most people's opinions on the "cute and cuddly" being OK in stores is different if it was a Doberman, Pitbull, Rottie, etc.

Dog people are a weird breed. LOL I get that everyone loves their pets, I love my kitty cats. But admit it, you all would be looking at me like I was a nut job if I went around pushing my cats in a stroller and bringing them into the store with me. Or if someone with any other animal other than a dog did that. What bothers people the most is those who blatantly disregard the rules. If no dogs are allowed, that means yours too. Now if the business allows it, and it is clearly posted, then that is fine because people are forewarned. If I could get dog people to understand one thing is that not everyone loves your dog like you love your dog. That's it.

Most dog people do understand that, some people are just nuts. And they make things more difficult for those with actual service animals. I generally don't mind seeing dogs out and about as long as they're well behaved, but I'll only bring mine to places I know allow dogs (mostly pet stores and the outdoor windows at ice cream shops).

I get it, but I'm not going to fuss about a cute pooch in a stroller. Besides, aren't we missing something?

Kids are allowed at Walmart, but I've often seen unsupervised children throwing balls back and forth through the store, running through the store without looking, leaving/spilling beverages in the store, wearing fanny packs, all manner of unsavory activity.

Kids- When will they grow up? Are they really the future, or was that just a lie propagated by Big Toddler? Should we keep little feet on the street, and out of stores?

It's also Friday, and one adorable doggy in a stroller should be the last thing that one should flip their burgers about.

Worse than unsupervised kids, my department even during the height of the pandemic would see parents give a toy right off the shelf to an infant or toddler to entertain them. They'd touch it, rip the packaging, drool on it, then the parents put it back on the shelf at the end of their shopping. After all, they didn't want to buy the toy, just wanted the kid to be quiet. It's probably at least 6-8 parents per shift I see do this too. Always goes right in the mouth first.

This is why I wear gloves at work, that and the gunk that comes off the trucks onto the boxes. I wash my gloves after my stocking shift and the water always comes out grey.

I would love to see a Great Dane! Not so much of those other breeds!

If cats were the type to sit in a stroller & be toted around, ppl would do that too. If I saw someone with a cat in a stroller, I would be amazed that jt was just sitting there calmly! Ftr, I ’d enjoy it just as much as seeing a dog.

A cat would absolutely murder it's owner for trying something like that. If it were just sitting there calmly have no doubts that it is actually plotting a very elaborate and painful revenge!

Yes! And I have 2 pretty docile cats. One is a ragdoll & bred to be calm & “dog-like”, but he isn’t dog-like enough to tolerate that!

I saw a Great Dane in Marshall’s. I did a double take to make sure it wasn’t the one that lives in my neighborhood, the one that brutally attacked one of my dogs. 😡

So personally I’d rather see the other breeds listed. 😉

That is a very cute picture

Agree though with others. As much as I have been in the past about service animals that was pretty evident the person, for whatever reason, brought them in a baby stroller and was not there for a service aspect. There are actually strollers designed for dogs and cats, etc and while they look pretty similar to other strollers you usually can spot when they are meant for a pet.

Bring on the pets in Petsmart, Petco, etc but otherwise...please don't.

There are plenty of pics and cat videos that will show you that :) My step-mom's cat Tam would let me do that to him when I was young. I could dress him up and put him in a stroller and he'd be fine.

Cats can def. do the stroller thing and there are pet strollers people can buy.

But my cat? Heck no :lmao:

If you want to take your dog into a store take them to stores that allows dogs.
Lowes

Home depot
Petsmart
Pet co
Tractor supply
And whatever else that allows dogs
I take my dogs into them places that they are allow to go to.
I agree - I think it's great that some stores allow pets. I'd have no business doing anything other than staying away if it bothered me. Can any of the pet lovers on this thread explain what makes it seem OK to them that this dog in a stroller was taken into a store that doesn't permit it? Why isn't the person considered an entitled jerk? I just don't get it.

Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!:crutches:

Been here going on 21 years - and the inane things that get people's panties in a wad never ceases to amaze me...
I've been a Diser almost 17 years. One time on this sight someone slammed me because I said CPS should be called on Max and Ruby because their parents were never home. In case you don't know, Max and Ruby is a CARTOON!!!😂

It's because dogs are babies and you are untrustworthy if you say any differently.
