Best Cupcake

Question about the cupcakes? How well do they hold up in the heat? I know it closes early but we won't need a snack until 8 or so (we have a 4:15 dinner at 50's Primetime.) If I buy them early will they melt away in the heat? (We are going in July.)

We just returned from the World and had the VERY best cupcake I have ever had at 50's Primetime. They have a Boston Cream Pie Cupcake that has chocolate frosting and vanilla custard in the center. AMAZING!!!

I'm not sure about the snack credit. However, my youngest DD purchased a cupcake there last July. I don't know that it would survive very well in the heat if you planned to stay in the park all day long. I'm not sure what the actual flavor of her cupcake was but it was a white cake with a white chocolate icicing covered with white chocolate shavings. It was so beautiful and so delicious!

If you didn't strictly want a cupcake then they do have a small (ideal for 1 or 2 people) chocolate mickey head shaped cake available. I've seen them for sure in the Boardwalk Bakery, I think they might be in the Main Street Bakery too.

I've always thought they would make a really cute birthday cake.
I second this recommendation. The small Mickey cakes are cute and delicious. You can bring one back to your room, put a candle in it and have a quick and easy birthday celebration. This plan may be easier than finding a cupcake in a theme park.

Anyway, you said in your original post you didn't want a whole cake. The cupcakes from Starring Rolls are so mammoth and caloric you may as well have ordered a full cake!

We really liked the huge cupcakes at the Contempo Cafe at the CR. We used a snack credit for those.

I don't know where you are staying but the yellow cupcakes with white icing in the food court at POP are addicting. My daughter and I shared about a dozen of these things in 7 days time:laughing:

Yes, the cupcakes at Starring Rolls can be gotten with a snack credit.

Enjoy!

Great. Now I'm going to have TWO cupcakes to get. Red Velvet is my favorite!

I second that! Anyone have a photo of the red velvet one for me to salivate over until June?

You can also get the same cupcakes upstairs at Disney Quest, if you happen to be over there. I dream about those cupcakes. .

be careful at DQ..Last summer, I got one of those.. I took that first bite expecting lovely frosting taste and I got a big taste of pepperoni or hot dog or something... They must be kept in same fridge or something... One of the most disgusting things ever....It made me nauseous the rest of the day and I do not have a delicate stomach. I think I'm still traumatized by it.. I love cupcakes and now whenever I order one anywhere- that first bite scares me.. Kids have been referring to my "cupcake phobia."

Oh but I did have one at Starring Rolls in Oct that was great... I did ask if they were kept separate from their meats..LOL Salesperson gave me a strange look.

More of the same here...STARRING ROLLS! :thumbsup2

And yes, snack credits work! (otherwise around 3 or 4 bucks I think)

Mmmmmm, the yellow cupcakes with white icing are yummy at the POP food court. That was our go-to dessert with our CS meals. :thumbsup2
