Best CS ONLY at DHS

There's not a lot of really good CS at DHS. My pick would be Starring Rolls, but they are limited to sandwiches. They have some great desserts too. Backlot Express isn't bad either. It's mostly burgers and nuggets, but it's good.

We like Starring Rolls and Pizza Planet ... our kids love the pizza and the combo comes with a salad. We can usually get two pizza meals and share between two adults and two kids...that way we can have dessert at Starring Rolls!

I like Backlot Express, good pressed type sandwiches and they have hotdogs and a fancy burger. Plus, they have a drink refill station and cool environment.

For lunch: Starring Rolls

For dinner: if the weather is not impossible, there are multiple CS locations along Sunset Blvd (the road that leads to ToT, on the left-hand side). Each one only has 3-4 selections but put them all together and they make a pretty decent open-air food court. The downside is only some of the seating is covered and, obviously, there's no air conditioning.

Other than that, the best CS option is to take the boat to Epcot. You have an embarrassment of riches to choose from there!

I haven't had any CS that I can recommend highly at DHS. If it were me on the dining plan, I'd go over to the Boardwalk Bakery - they took the dining plan the one time we were on it. You got a nice huge sandwich (enough for 2 to share!) with a drink, a side (we got some little cucumber salad thing I think) plus a pastry! It was a lot of food, and the sandwiches are pretty good.

Or I'd take the boat all the way over to Epcot!:cool1:

Our favorite is Starring Rolls, but they often close early. For dinner CS, we would opt for Backlot Express.

We enjoy some items at the ABC Commissary--the Asian Salad, the chicken curry, and the fried fish. We also like the Studio Catering Company--I really enjoyed the grilled vegetable sandwich, I think we've had chicken caesar wraps there before as well.

Never thought of going over to the Boardwalk! Now that's a pleasant idea!:flower3:

All I can suggest is to definitely stay away from ABC! :rotfl:
Everything else is just eh- medicore AT BEST. Although like previous posters have said, the sandwiches at Starring Rolls are awesome and they have quite a selection of cupcakes for dessert!
