Sort of hijacking this from another thread, but:

We will be a group of 6. 4 "foody" adults and two kids, 5 and 3, who prefer your traditional "kid fare." We tend to like to do CS for lunch and we're wondering where the favorites are? We ate in the bier garten last year and weren't very impressed.

Thoughts?

I always try to hit the Cantina in Mexico.....Plato Combinacion is my fav, with the wet burrito being a fav of my best friend......

last week we tried the Sunshine Seasons food court and were pleasantly surprised (maaaaany choices) as well as the cs in China (obviously not as many choices, but a nice variety in Chinese foosd).....both were very enjoyable :)

I second sunshine seasons (in the land). Lots of options for everyone and great dessert selections!! We normally grab fp's for soarin, do the rides nearby, come back for lunch and then ride soarin. Usually works out pretty well the times of year we travel.

I'm a huge fan of Sunshine Seasons also and it's a must do on every trip, usually on the day we arrive. There is a lot of variety and the food is more healthful than many other places, in my opinion. A note of caution, though...it can be very crowded and noisy during peak meal times.

I would also recommend the CS in morocco. I was hesitent at first, but was very pleasantly surprised. The meals and portions were very good and not too exotic.

Yes, Sunshine Seasons can be very noisy at lunch, which is something I don't like. However, last time we found that there are so many different separate areas and most people look for the first place they can find after paying. We go to one of the areas as far away as possible, and find that it's much less noisy (I still wouldn't classify it as "quiet" but a big improvement). If anyone has a cold, DH found something like chicken soup in the Asian area which he said was perfect for him. If not for his cold, we usually go to Morocco.

I read great reports on Sunshine Seasons. Just back last night and the chinese area was the worst food we had all week. It was awful. Three of us had sweet and sour chicken and all three of us had bone in it!!! Kind of ruined our appetite.

Our favorite is the bakery in France. We love the ham & cheese croissants! And their pastries are devine!!! I love that they are not so rich and overly sweet. We just had lunch there on Saturday. It's always a must-do for my family. I recommend getting there fairly early, though. We arrived about 11:30 and didn't have a wait. Shortly after noon, the line was out the door.

I totally agree with you on this one! My children who love chinese food and are very adventurous eaters asked if we had to go back there again. None of us cared for it at all. I thought it was just us. We were there two weeks ago and I always try to give a place the benefit of the doubt as it could be an off night for the cook or they supply company but having this validated by someone else we may pick somewhere else to go next time! :)

I guess it would depend on what you are in the mood for. My family loves the Cantina!

Sunshine Seasons is our favorite too. We love the variety and everything tastes great. ON our last trip we tried the Salami & Ham Sandwich. It came with a viniagrette dressing, mixed greens & the best bread I've ever had. Very good. But to be fair we have only eaten at the following places:

Electric Umbrella --- not our cup of tea... Just basic fast food burgers. We like different items not stuff you'll find at McDonalds or Burger King

Yorkshire County Fish Shop featuring Harry Ramsden's - The fish and chips are okay here. We like it enough to dine here again but not at the top of our list

Cantina de San Angel-- Again... not our favorite. It is too Americanized for us.

Another "I agree 100%!"...I love Sunshine Seasons as do both my children.Lots of yummy choices! DS and I both love the deli sandwiches and DD loves the chicken meal. I have also had some yummy salads..The dessert selection if fabulous. However DH insists( ) on eating at the Chinese area every time and he always says it is really really bad.

Tangierine Cafe in Morocco is my favorite CS in all of WDW! :thumbsup2 DD6 was able to get chicken tenders there for her meal so we were both very happy. :)

Sunshine Seasons, but I haven't eaten at that many CS in Epcot. They had a great vegetarian sandwich and an AMAZING strawberry cake thing-y dessert!!!

No basis for comparison (yet!) because it was my first time at WDW in 14 years but we ate at Tangierine Cafe in Morocco in July and LOVED it!! DH and I love good food and quality is very important to us. The kids shared the chicken fingers meal and it was plenty for them, and very basic which my kids prefer (they are 3 and 1 and do not eat anything exotic!). DH and I each had the combo shawarma plate with chicken and lamb but they also offer platters with chicken or lamb only, and also pita sandwiches. Excellent quality! We became DVC members since we plan to go to WDW a lot with the kids as they get older, and we are at BWV so a nice walk to the WS! We plan on 2 days at Epcot next trip, and definitely returning to Morocco for lunch! We will also probably try the CS in Mexico the second day for lunch.

Tangierine Cafe for a falafel wrap with couscous...it is just amazing and I have to get it every time we go.

DH is in love with the meatballs and saffron rice from TC but really goes nuts for the shrimp fried rice and egg rolls from China

Sunshine Seasons was our absolutely favourite CS restaurant on WDW property. We ate there on two different days of our trip. The food is so fresh and there are so many options. It was nice to find something different to eat at a food court. I think DH had some sort of seared tuna salad and it was amazing. My favourite was the Asian chocolate cake.

The one CS restaurant we would not recommend is the Cantina in Mexico. Blech! It tasted worse than any Taco Bell I've ever been to and it's completely Americanized. Something you put together at home from an Old El Pasa taco kit is more authentic than this place.

I'm sorry you didn't like Biergarten. It's one of our favs.
