I am really loving using couponing/reward apps on my cell phone, and I figure that all the savings is actually paying for the data plan on my cell phone. I'm posting to see if you guys use any that I might have missed. I'm always on the lookout for new ways to coupon, so please share what apps you use, maybe we can all find new ways to save money!

Here is the list of the ones I use regularly-

Cartwheel (target mobile coupon app)- I've saved $90.25 so far and I've only been using it about 6 months or so. I LOVE this app, and before I check out at target I always go through everything in my cart and search the app to make sure I haven't missed any potential savings. I do all my grocery shopping at target, so its a big win for me!

Ibotta- (mobile coupon app) I haven't had as much luck with this one, I find I'm not buying a lot of the things they have offers for, but every once in a while I strike gold.

Receipt Hog (mobile shopping reward app)- I learned about this one on the budget board (thanks guys!) and I've been doing really well with it. I've been using it since about Nov, and I've made $10 in Amazon gift cards, and I'm about to cash out again.

Shop Kick- (mobile reward app)- this is probably my favorite savings app, I haven't been doing it for that long but I've probably made about $50 in target gift cards.

Retail me not- (mobile coupon app)- I always check this app before I check out in any store. Its really come through for me, especially when I do silly things like forget my Kohls coupons at home.

Checkout 51 (mobile coupon app)- This is my newest find, and I'm liking it so far. Its a lot like Ibotta, but more of their offers are the type of things I buy. I've already redeemed offers on windex, scrubbing bubbles, pledge, and milk.

SO, are there any that you guys use that are not on my list? I've love to know!

I also use Cartwheel. I've saved so much with it. I don't use anything else, but I may after looking at your list!

how does receipt hog work? i have not heard of it yet.

i have decent luck with ibotta. i found it was better in the summer when i first started using it, way more bonuses and items i used. still i have earned over $30 using it so i'll take it.

one thing i discovered about cartwheel is even if it says excludes clearance items, add it. i have had mixed luck but every now and then it will still take it off, and since its a generic barcode the cashier doesn't care what is on it.

i also use target mobile coupons if that counts since its a text that goes to the internet for the link. stacking those with manufacturer's coupons and cartwheel is the way to go.

Saving star. You add your store cards, then select the coupons you want to add. When you buy the item it "banks" that any. Once you total $5.00 you can get a payout in an amazon card or other choices

I downloaded Shopkick....Any tricks to earning kicks? What does YESSS mean with the envelopes? Am I earning kicks? I'm off to the mall tomorrow to do walk-ins....Any other ideas???? :)

i use Offerbeam. I have gotten some good discounts from them.

Ebates is a good way to save money. Ebates rewards you for shopping at other retailers through the Ebats website. Ebates also list discount coupon codes for those retailers. For example Ebates has listed a discount code for 10% off of jewelry at Sears and 3% cash back for your purchase. And if you belong to the Sears Shop Your Way Rewards you earn those rewards point too. Use your Southwest airline credit card and earn mile rewards. So with one purchase at Sears you can net 4 ways to put money back in your pocket.

Last month they had 20% off Disney tickets!

Every quarter Ebates will either mail you your rewards check or deposit it into a Paypal acct. I have $323 coming this quarter.

They do have an app

I use some of those apps. I love Ibotta and checkout 51. Shopkick has been my issue. I guess I just don't get it. I've had the app for a year and only have 200 kicks. I've walked into Best Buy Target etc... and never got those kicks.

great thread. I hear so much about some of these like "ibotta" but I'm never quite sure if they're as good as the websites make them sound. It's great to get honest opinions.

Can you combine the apps? For instance, can I upload the same receipt for both Checkout 51 and ibotta?

I've used the same receipt for both Checkout 51 and ibotta, as well as in Shopmium and Receipt Hog, without any issues. It doesn't appear to be against any of their terms and conditions!

To get kicks for walkins, you must have location services on and the shop kick app open, then you literally stand in the entrance for the store until it recognizes you and a little kicks bubble pops up.

I found an App that's not a couponing/reward app BUT it is great to use to compare the weekly deals on groceries and toiletries at the different grocery stores and drugstores in your area. It also shows the specials at Costco and Walmart. The app is called Out of Milk. Originally I downloaded it to so I could have a place to jot my shopping list on the go, but then I realized it was more than a shopping list app. I love being able to see which grocery store has the better sales each week so I know which store to hit up to save on groceries that I need. It also has the local drugstores which sometimes have better deals on things like milk and big boxes of cereal. I love this app. For me it is so nice to flip through it to see who has the best deals on meats, milk, detergent...all of the pricey stuff mainly.

Savingstar you choose offers, link your grocery/pharmacy cards and get cash for purchases.

I use the kroger app, and load coupons to my kroger card. I also text target to get mobile coupons that are separate from cartwheel. I love this I just saved $20 on $50 worth of cleaning/laundry supplies. I use the ebates app and groupon. I agree all the savings is helping to pay for my smart phone. lol :)

I've found "GiftPanda" (for iOS) which is pretty new - it even has a counterpart for Android, "CashPirate".
Both apps work the same: You download apps, watch videos, complete surveys, etc. and you can redeem your coins via PayPal, gift cards, or mobile recharge.
You won't get rich but it's quite fun and you can make some extra cash when you're on your way :)

I second ebates. I get about $100 back per year through them. I use their browser extension so it pops up and reminds me to go through them (except Amazon I have to do manually). It also applies coupons for me. I think they just added an in-store feature recently but I haven't tried it yet.

One I use, that I haven't seen mentioned is ReceiptPal. It's super easy, you just take pictures of your receipts. They can be from fast food, sturbucks, grocery, department stores, items you buy inside the gas station.
