What is the best counter service meal in MK? I have two small kids. Want good food, not fried/greasy/etc. It's for our first night in the park.

Thanks!

It might be easier for you to just decide when you get hungry, since you might be on the opposite side of the park from the recommendations given, but I enjoy Columbia Harbour House. They have seating upstairs that few people know about so your kids can sit upstairs against a window looking out at the park and eat. It's not as crazy, loud, and hard to find a seat as some other spots and the menu is not all fried typical theme park food.

I second the CHH recommendation. IMO, it's the least greasy option. ;)

Cosmic Ray's Sandwich and Salad line might be a good second choice.

When I first saw your question and saw the "with kids" part, I was going to say Cosmic Rays, kids seem to love that Sonny Eclipse animatronic that pops up and sings, and with all the varying food stations, you could perhaps put together a somewhat less greasy meal.

But after hearing the "no greasy" option you'd like, I'd have to agree with the people mentioning Columbia Harbor House. Yes, they have fried chicken strips and fried fish, but I got a tunu sandwich there last week, served on whole grain bread, with white tunu and a tomato on the sandwich, definitely not greasy. I ordered the half-sandwich/cup of soup option and got the vegetarian chili for the soup, lots of veggies in it, seemed less like chili and more minestrone-ish (without noodles). Again, not in the greasy food category!

Hope you have a great time!

Thanks everyone!

I checked out the menu for CHH, and it's heavy on seafood/fish/tuna. Should have mentioned...only 1 of the 4 of us likes that stuff. So even though the ambience looks good, I think the menu would be pretty tough for us.

Cosmic Ray's seems more doable for us, and sounds entertaining!

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone!

With your comments I would second Cosmic Ray's. It can get crowded during peak times where the stage is but it is a big place overall. The three counters should give you something to choose from (you have seen the menu). The Sonny Eclipse show can even be fun to watch for adults.
