Best Counter Services at MK

We'll be at MK for dinner on Friday and breakfast on Saturday. What would you recommend?

If you want the best Hot Dog go to Caseys (or corn dog nugget!), If you want something more substantial ribs or chicken and mashed potaotes at Cosmic Rays (they also have burgers etc), Columbia Harbor house has some different fresh sandwiches and fish and chips. Or you could hop over to the Contemporary and go to their new Counter Service place

We've never done a counter service breakfast in the Magic Kingdom - but I can tell you the bakery is ALWAYS packed. Hopefully others will chime in with their experiences.

In terms of dinner at the MK - it's always a toss up for our family. My DH and kids love Cosmic Rays (you can pretty much satisfy any food request from burgers, to chicken, ribs, soup, sandwiches, etc). I just have a hard time with all the different "bays" and feel like getting a meal there takes forever. I think it's the mom in me - I want one line, where I can get everything done and the kids fed!

If it were my choice, I find Columbia Harbor House a better option. Granted, I love tuna sandwiches - so I'm sort of biased

Okay - how weird that two people from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada just posted replies to this thread at the same time!!

In any case, DH wanted me to point out - perhaps a trip out of the MK and over to the Poly might be an option. We all LOVE going to Captain Cooks. The pulled pork is always a hit with our family, as is almost everything else on the menu.

We really had a nice dinner at Peco Bill's. We had this chicken dinner with mashed potatoes & corn on the cob. We thought it was excellent! Not sure about breakfast.

Columbia Harbour House has really nice sandwiches.
Breakfast at main Street bakery is always good, they also have nice sandwiches for lunch.
Cosmic Rays is also good.

Before you do Casey’s look into the recent changes. People are not happy with the new healthy roles and the new "mystery" meat hotdogs. (they got rid of the 100% beef)
BTW; Most of the burgers also have this new healthy “falling apart” role.

Love love love Columbia Harbor House! I've never seen CS breakfast in MK other than the bakery - like another poster suggested - take the monorail over to Captain Cook's CS at the Poly!!!

Walk or take the Monorail over to the Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary. Great food choices and excellent desserts. My husband had some sort of hot sandwich and I had a black and blue steak salad. They also have hot entrees all for counter service. Very easy to get to and so yummy, we are not fans of CS in the MK and this is so good!

I liked the Columbia Harbour house as it is quieter than other CS places and its nice and cool too .
Cosmic Rays is a favourite of our kids - its always busy in there but the service is fairly quick - its only time consuming if you need to go to the different counters depending on what you want to eat.
I need to try the bakery on Main street next time I go - it always gets good reviews

Id goto Cosmic Rays in MK for dinner. I really like their bacon double cheeseburger and I get that fudge/chocolate cake for desert.. Dont try to eat the whole burger tho, its huge...

For brekki I would goto Main st Bakery, sooo much good tasty food.. YUMMO

It's the building across from the entrance to Haunted Mansion - directly across from the little kitchen shop there. There's a little skyway up above street level (not for pedestrians). I LOVE to sit upstairs - not many people seem to realize there even IS an upstairs - so it's quiet & you can watch Haunted Mansion from up there!

I like Cosmic Ray's. Big fan of Sonny Eclipse. Its a fun place to eat. I like the food, but different lines have different items which can be a pain if someone wants a healthy wrap and someone else wants a cheeseburger

We were at Cosmic Ray's on October 23rd for the MNSSHP looking specifically for ribs chicken and mashed potatoes and they were no longer on the menu.
