Okay, so I have a basic idea of where we will eat, but would also like any input from those who have actually been. I am trying to decide on 2-3 places for each park, we have the qsdp, sooo I'm thinking to have a place for lunch and dinner decided and a 3rd just for back up. Also would like opinions on DTD. We get the $15 voucher for planet hollywood. Is that better than Wolfgang's?(which we could use our dining plan with) But would be willing to pay for a really good meal and use the voucher. I am also wondering about portion sizes, since the kids choices are so bad for my DD, I will prepare to share our food with her.:sad2: Here are my picks so far...

MK- Cosmic Rays, El Pirata
Epcot- Sunshine Seasons, Yorkshire County Fish
DHS- ABC Commissary
AK- Flame Tree Barbeque

So, that's it so far. We want decent food, not chicken and burgers every meal and from looking at the menus I think we can do some good meals with knowing where to go. Now, I am not opposed at all to a good burger;) just not every meal. Oh, and we are staying at POFQ, so I'm sure we will have atleast one meal there. Thanks in advance.

Wolfgang Puck Express is considered by most to be the best value for CS, which I have to agree with. The food is amazing, especially the pizzas, and the service is fabulous too. You order the food, and they bring it out to you and I have even had them offer to fill my drink before.

On to your selections for the parks:

MK - Cosmic Rays is yum, the only downside is that the food is split up so if someone wants chicken and someone else wants a burger, you have to go to two lines. I like Cosmic for lunch the best for their wrap. El Pirata isn't open all the time, only during busy season and when Pecos is under construction. Not sure if it's back up yet, but if El Pirata is closed, Pecos is right next door and good. Columbia Harbour House is a good option to get away from burgers/chicken.

Epcot - Sunshine Seasons is my favorite so good choice. Never ate at Yorkshire so can't give my opinion.

DHS - ABC Commissary is probably the worst CS on property in my opinion. I like Backlot Express or even the CS places that are right near Tower of Terror. I think Studio Catering has more options than burger/chicken.

AK - Never eaten at Flame Tree but I hear a lot of good reviews. We tend to eat at Pizzafari, and that's pretty average.

MK - I agree with doing Cosmic Ray's but the split line bit is annoying! Also Peco's Bills ...never been to El Pirata. I've been told to try Harbor House...but DH doesn't like fish. :(

DHS - we plan on doing Rosie's ALl American Cafe (CS) but it's burgers...and another on my list is Toy Story Pizza Planet (we are traveling with a 3 and 7 year old!)We did this 2 years ago and I do remember having a salad while the kids had pizza.

EPCOT - I've listed Sunshine Season's as well just from looking over the menu selection. Interested in hearing reviews too...

DTD - Earl of Sandwhich!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hands down!!!! Through we also have the $15 voucher to use at Planet Hollywood.

AK - We've gone in Rainforest Cafe each trip so I'm no help there. This year we are adding Tuskhouse to our ADR's...otherwise we really don't eat at his park. No clue or reason why...just works that way! :confused3

MK- Cosmic Rays, El Pirata
Epcot- Sunshine Seasons, Yorkshire County Fish
DHS- ABC Commissary
AK- Flame Tree Barbeque

Cosmic Rays is OK but as others have said, kind of a pain in the neck if people want different things to eat. El Pirata is good when they have their regular menu - that is not very often. When Pecos Bill's was closed, they were serving burgers. Pecos Bill's is DD and DH's favorite counter service at the MK. I like Columbia Harbor House - they do have chicken for non-fish eaters and it is a nice break from pizza and burgers.

At Epcot, Sunshine Seasons is the best fast food, no contest as far as we are concerned. Yorkshire County Fish is OK but kind of on the greasy side for me. It is one of DH's favorites. I like the bakery in France - good crossant sandwiches or they also have a cheese plate that comes with bread. Also Yakitori House in Japan is decent.

Flame Tree Barbecue is my favorite fast food at the AK since Tusker House became a buffet. DH's favorite is Yak and Yeti.

We love Earl of Sandwich at DTD, great deal for your money. It's fresh and always tasty.
Wolfgang's is great too, but my gang always picks Earl over Wolfie! I think just because it's closer to Ghiradelli's. :rotfl:
Cosmic Rays' is another of our must-do's at MK. HUGE portions though. I feel guilty throwing so much away.

Magic Kingdom: Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe.

Epcot: Electric Umbrella.

Hollywood Studios: ABC Commissary.

Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree Barbecue & Pizzafari.

Downtown Disney Marketplace: Earl of Sandwich.

Contemporary: Contempo Cafe.

Grand Floridian: Gasparilla's Grill & Games.

We really enjoy the Columbia Harbour House in the MK - they have the best tuna sandwich. We like Peco Bill's for burgers and a great fixin's bar.
No CS is great at DHS. The Backlot Express is okay.
We love the various International CS at Epcot. We always eat at the Cantina de San Angel in Mexico, Sommerfest in Germany, Tangerine Cafe in Morrocco and the French Bakery in France. We also enjoy the Yorkshire County Fish House fish & chips.
At the AK we enjoy the Flame Tree Barbeque.
Have a Great Trip

MK---Columbia Harbor House
Epcot----Sunshine Seasons, the salmon is Great, so are the dessert options
DHS---Starring Rolls, huge sandwich, bag of chips, dessert(yummo) and drink
AK---Flame Tree

I think that Sunshine Seasons is the best in park CS overall.

I second the best tuna sandwich from Columbia Harbour House in MK, but for the most bang for the buck- WPE. We ate there on Friday before driving home. The meal for 2 adults and 1 child would have been like $40. The food was really good. The service was fantastic! We would do this one again! We also love the Earl of Sandwich.

The best CS food we had was at Dsineyquest. The pizzas were made when you ordered them. They had baked ziti and paninis too. I also like the Flame Tree Barbecue at AK.

Best overall is Tangierine Cafe at Morocco in Epcot. We didn't try it for ages for fear that it would be spicy/weird but once we tried it, OMG, it's very good.

Sunshine Seasons at Epcot is also OK. We all really dislike the Yorkshire Fish stand, too soggy/greasy for us.

AK, we like Flame Tree BBQ the best but thought Yak n Yeti was a decent second choice (more for the variety rather than quality).

MK, we like Columbia Harbor House the best.

DHS, nothing. I'd rather leave DHS, take the boat to Epcot and eat and then return to DHS.

DTD, both Wolfgang Puck Express and Earl of Sandwich are very good.

I really enjoyed Sunshine Seasons when we were there in November. We never went there before and I was pleasantly surprised by the choices and quality of the food! We'll definitely be going back there on our next trip.

OP, I like all your choices but one. We finally tried Flame tree bbq last month and i really didn't like it. My chicken was so greasy. The coleslaw was fine but the beans were not good. They tasted old and pasty. Hubby liked the ribs, so go figure. :confused3

BTW, two thumbs up for you Epcot choices, we love both of those!

Thanks a lot. Now I just have to get DH to sit down and help decide. But, I think I have it pretty much narrowed down.:surfweb:

Best CS in WDW

Cosmic Rays at MK
Peco's Bill at MK
Sunshine Seasons at Epcot
Cantina at Epcot
Earl of Sandwich at DTD
Flame Tree BBQ at DAK
Pizzafari at DAK

unfortunately, I find DHS counter service options to be less than spectacular to say the least

Epcot -- We loved Sunshine Seasons -- great food, wonderful variety, so we were all able to find something we wanted to eat. Serving sizes were large -- we got 3 adult meals and one kids' meal and could have easily gone with two adult meals and an extra side (my girls and I don't each much). We're definitely going back this summer. We also tried the CS place in Morocco (can't remember how to spell it) and it was one place that we were *really* looking forward to -- we love this type of food. We were very disappointed, though, and won't go back. Can't even remember what we ate, other than that it didn't have much flavor and gave two of us heartburn/indigestion.

MK -- We ate at Columbia Harbor House and Pinocchio Village Haus . We all liked Columbia Harbor House (I'm not a seafood person and I was able to easily find something on the menu to eat). We didn't care for Pinnochio Village Haus -- I cannot eat cheese and had to have my order redone twice before they finally fixed it without cheese (and got an attitude about it from the CM both times)...my girls didn't care for their lunches there, either. DH will eat just about anything so he was fine.

AK -- Pizzafari was ok. Again, I can't eat cheese so I didn't try the pizza. I wasn't feeling well that day so I just had breadsticks and salad. But the breadsticks were good. DH and kids said the pizza was "ok" -- nothing fabulous, but ok.

DHS -- Studio Catering Company was ok. My girls split the chicken caesar wrap and really liked it. I had a salad (can't remember which one) and it was large and fresh. I think DH had some kind of sandwich and he didn't have any complaints.
