It's a unique place. Somewhere closer to a sitdown than a CS. Almost a buffet but you pay for each item. They have an MX, Italian, desert and meat station (I think I'm forgetting one maybe salad). They'll have steak, chicken, Quasedilla's, etc. They also have smoothies which you can get as your DDP drink often times. From a cost standpoint and meal type it's by far the best value for the DDP from a CS standpoint. A meal there can easily be $20 a person or more. It's a decent value otherwise if you like what they have and esp since the TS restaurant there is sub-par.

Hasa anyone ever eaten at the noodle bowl place in Tomorrowland? We have always wanted to try it, but never found it open.

Is it open? Is it any good?

If you answered yes to both, when is it open?

We ate there in Sept '05! I think it was pretty new at that time and I liked it - DH, not quite so much. I've wanted to eat there again but never have been there again when it's open. My understanding is that it's a place that they open during busy times to accommodate the extra guests. I do believe that it was open for part of this past summer.

Sunshine Seasons
Flame Tree BBQ
And my long standing favorite - Columbia Harbour House, even if they've removed my most favorite item, the Galley Salad.

For some reason, I absolutely LOVED the chicken wrap at Pecos Bills. I am not a real adventurous eater (mostly burgers and chicken) at counter service places. I haven't really tried any of the more "exotic" CS restaurants in the parks. Once I found that chicken wrap though...yummmm!

Oh, I loved the chicken at the Mara too. It had a different kind of spice/seasoning on it which was delicious. It was nicely complemented by the stewed vegetables and couscous. Oh, and the zebra domes are awesome!

We have never seen it open, but we both love Asain flavored foods. I was hoping they would have something like the Vietnamese Pho soup there.

After looking at all of these CS options that I have not tried, you all have convinced me to get the TIW on the next trip. While I do not think you save a lot of money, all these great place to try will make the plan worthwhile to purchase.

Hands down, it is the Pepper Market. We just love that place. We usually eat there after longs days in the park. You can get carry out and we love to do that when we are all tired and hot.

Ditto. We are going to WDW in April, and we'll hit Pepper Market the first day we get there, and the day before we leave. We LOVE the PM!!!

My question regards the Pepper Market. How is it a good buy for a CS credit? Aren't you just allowed one drink, entree and desert? Is it that there is a much better selection? Can you get a salad as a side there and still be 1 CS? We've only gotten the DDP, the regular one twice. We do have TIW, is that valid at the Pepper Market?

You can get one meal, one drink and one desert at the Pepper Market. For some choices that value (with tip and tax) might be as low as $15-17 a person. For the Ribeye steak, a smoothie and a cookie, it's up around $30 with most meals averaging a value of just over $20 a person. They do stiff you on the desert allowing limited choices and they won't always allow the smoothie, depends on the mood their in. Other better counter service values that come to mind are the salmon at Seasons, Combo BBQ plate at Cosmic Rays, several choices at Tangierine (EPCOT), Several choices at Wolfgang Puck express (they wont' let you get the raviolis though) and a couple at Cookes of Dublin. My definition of a good CS value is the entree and sides at around $10 or more. Note that some of these choices may not always be on the DDP list which can change at any time. I likely left some out but I think I hit most of them.

I love the Peper Market, its second to Artist Pallet for food quality and variety of a resort counter service meal. Its not just hamburger and chicken nuggets.

RobinB had a real nice cost comparison of CS retaurants and Peper Market is up near the top, with Morracco.
