On my last visit I was very impressed by the flat bread at the SSR counter service restaurant. I have not found any in the parks that I like as they all seem very bland, but would love to know if there is a place or specific item that I may be missing.

On my past posting I have learned about Tonga Toast and cannot wait to try on my next visit.

Ya'll are all great and helpful!!!

Oooh...I love that flatbread too!

The new quick-serve location just opened at the Contemporary and it looks promising. (Menu here... http://allears.net/menu/menu_contempo.htm)

We also love the Tangerine Cafe in Morocco and the sausage/sauerkraut sandwiches served at Sommerfest in Germany...both, of course, at EPCOT.

Epcot: we loved Tangierine Cafe in Morocco!! Delicious!

DHS: We liked Pizza Planet (I loved the chicken salad and the kids enjoyed the pizza. DH said the pizza was okay. I tried it, not too bad and I am a pizza snob from Brooklyn)

MK: Cosmic Ray's in Tomorrowland. Excellent burgers and lots of seating, especially if you go before noon!

AK: Flame Tree BBQ. Delicious pulled pork sandwiches, ribs, etc. Good key lime pie too!

Next trip we look forward to the CS at Poly for breakfast because I gotta try Tonga Toast! Also for lunches we are looking into Boardwalk Bakery for paninis, the Cantina in Mexico at Epcot in addition to Tangierine Cafe (spending 2 days at Epcot); Columbia Harbor House at MK; maybe Earl of Sandwich in DTD. Just wish there were more options closer to BWV. We only have the bakery, or across the lake there is Hurricane Hannah's outside or Beachclub Marketplace, but all these places seem so limited on their menu.

FYI - Tonga Toast is at Kona which is a TS - I've never seen it at Captain Cook's (Poly CS)?

I like your selections!!!!

Gotta laugh at Pizza Planet. Same (bad) Pizza as most of WDW, but it is the appropriate type of pizza you expect from the themeing of a chuck-e-cheeze type dive.

Decent CS Pizza at WDW: Pizza to go window by Spoodles!

Try Sunshine Seasons at the Land Pavillion in Epcot.

Amoung other choices they have a Sandwich Shop & Bakery which serves "Freshly baked Artisan breads used in made-to-order sandwiches such as grilled vegetable Cuban, turkey muffaletta, ham and salami grinder and Focaccia".

I think its one of the best counter service restaurants at WDW. One can only eat so many hamburgers.

We found Sunshine Season yesterday, very good ! Nice to get the kids the chicken leg and mashed potatoes for a change.

Tangerine Cafe, like it better than the TS.

Wolfgang Puck's Express at the Marketplace end of DTD is very good. Like it and the staff better than the TS.

Cosmic Ray's and Pecos Bill's are our MK favorites. Love the fixings bar at PB's.

AP @ SSR, Tangerine Cafe, and Flame Tree are my favorite CS restaurants.

Breakfast at the Main Street Bakery is also very good.

Is there a special favorite thing to get at Tangarine Cafe? I tried it once last year because everyone raved, I like lamb, got something with lamb, and I didn't care for it.

I like Flametree BBQ at AK...TIW card works there too!

I am a fan of the combo plate - the couscous is quite possibly my favorite single food item that exists at Disney. I like the mixture of all the flavors - lamb, chicken, hummus, tabouli, cous-cous. Mmmmmmmmm.

I saw Tonga Toast on the menu for Captain Cook's on All Ears. That's why I had thought about trying it for breakfast since it looks like on our next trip we may have an extra CS credit to use (arriving dinnertime the first day so we will have that day's CS credit to use, and leaving right after a character breakfast the last morning). We own at BWV, and I am not too fond of the breakfast selection at BW Bakery (only a couple of sandwiches). Plus I am dying to try Tonga Toast and regret not trying it back in July, because now I have to wait until summer 2010!

I think the best meals are one list and to a degree, the best values another, esp for the DDP. I'd put the Pepper Market and Seasons as the 2 best potential meals AND DDP values both. I'd add Flame Tree plus Cantina de San Angel (MX) and any of the places with a burger Bar as potential great choices. There are a several unusual counter services options in EPCOT that are great for some, not for others.

I suppose that's my "problem." I prefer to taste each item, and not have a mixture of flavors. I was rushed with my choice the time that I ate there, the place was closing, and I definitely will give it another try.

Hands down, it is the Pepper Market. We just love that place. We usually eat there after longs days in the park. You can get carry out and we love to do that when we are all tired and hot.

For dinner, I prefer AP @ SSR for counter service. They have great dinner specials every night and large servings. It's the next best thing to table service for me.

We like Pepper Market, because we can get a baked potato. Not many places to find that in the World. Pepper Market is pricier and they charge the service fee (included in DDP not cash)

Where is the Pepper Market? :confused3

Hasa anyone ever eaten at the noodle bowl place in Tomorrowland? We have always wanted to try it, but never found it open.

Is it open? Is it any good?

If you answered yes to both, when is it open?
