Heading down next month and we have a QS dining plan because my kids are too picky for me to buy the regular dining plan and have them not eat the food. We will be there for 8 nights and I'm looking for new places to eat QS meals that are good. I'm very familiar with all the ones in the parks but am interested in finding ones that are worth traveling to at other resorts. It would be nice if the resort was worth visiting as well. I've been to Capt. Cook's at Poly and enjoyed it. What suggestions do you have for good CS? TIA

Artist Palette at SSR
Kona Island at Poly
Sanaa Breakfast at Kidani Village
Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express at Disney Springs (Not sure if this counts as a park)

Riverside Mill at POR and Landscape of Flavors at AOA if they can go get their own food in the different bays. Bays are a pain with small kids who want different things. Good variety for the less picky members.

Contempo Cafe at CR is decent.

Captain Cook's at Polynesian
Art of animation food court
I second the recommendation of Wolfgang Puck (either location)

The first two that came to my mind are Wolfgang Puck Express at DS and the Riverside Mill food court at POR. I also liked the Pepper Market at Coronado, but it's been 5 years since we've stayed there so I'm not sure if it's still worth a recommendation.

Earl of Sandwich ....long lines, but very efficient service. Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary.....terrific flatbreads!

Unfortunately Wolfgang Puck Express is no longer on the DDP.

- Contempo Cafe, Contemporary: solid food options, large portions and amazing cupcakes and desserts. Also really enjoy the atmosphere.
- Geyser Point, Wilderness Lodge: Solid food. It has a lot of burgers, sandwiches and salads, but you can't beat the atmosphere. It feels miles away from Disney.
- Pepper Market, Coronado: Breakfast here is great. I loved the chorizo egg bowl. Food could be hit or miss. Some food is very good, other dishes taste like sub-par Taco Bell.
- Landscape of Flavors, AoA: IMO, this spot has the most options, best selection and some really, really good food. We love the CYO burger.
- I've also heard great things about the POP food court, although we've never been.

Gasparilla Grill at GF (especially the sandwich bar on the right hand side of the ordering area)
Contempo at CR - great food and good choices other than a burger
Geyser Point at WL
Mara at AKL
Hurricane Hannah's poolside at Beach Club (you don't have to be staying there to eat there)

The Disney website says Kona Island does not take dining credits

My favorite is Mara at AKL, followed by Riverside at POR. We've gone to both resorts to eat CS, even though we were staying at other resorts.

Not sure if there is one in your area as it is a chain, but Blaze Pizza at Disney Springs gets my recommendation. It is extremely customizable, the price is very reasonable, and the food is enjoyable.

The Mara is worth traveling to. It has a few interesting African choices, as well as some nice soups and very good flatbreads. For picky eaters, they have a very tasty hamburger and a pepperoni flatbread. Some people love the zebra domes. No one in my family is a big fan, but they are fun to try for the first time nevertheless.

I always think AKL is worth visiting. It is a gorgeous and unique resort.

Another vote for Contempo Café.

Second choice POR food court.

Third choice Roaring Fork if it re-opens by then.

Don't know how you feel about Disney Springs. I'm hoping to try Bongo's Cuban Express there on one of my next two trips.
