Best Convention/Vacation Hotel with kids?

Hubby is attending a convention in Orlando the last week in March 2006. He says we can take the kids to Disney for the week.
So here's the list of "convention-approved" hotels I have been given to choose from:
Rosen Plaza
Peabody
Rosen Centre
Sheraton World
Hilton Garden -Sea World
Renaissance Orlando Resort-Sea World
Hilton Grand Vacations Club

We are planning on flying to either Orlando Intl or Sanford (depending on rates) and would either needs transportation or a rental car (depending on what DHs work is willing to pay part of). If we get a rental car, we need a hotel within walking distance to the convetion center. If we don't get rental, would like hotel with shuttle to Disney.
Kids will be 3 & 7 when we travel.
Does anyone have any pros/cons about any of these hotels?

If you need to be close to the Convention Center then I'd probably go w/ the Peabody. However, their amenities aren't the best in the area for kids. To me this is more a business hotel.
As for the Disney shuttles from hotels. They usually run extremely limited runs and hours. If you do a little research you will be able to get a rental car for under $200 for the week easy.

all of these are close to Seaworld.

I have stayed in the Renaissance and HGVC. both are nice. the Renaissance is as old as SW 1973.

the HGVC is much newer.

there is a bus that stops in front of the Renaissance (it would be across the street from HGVC) that does go to WDW.

I think both Renaissance and HGVC have a shuttle (but it cost)

a rental car would be your best bet - especially traveling with children.
