BEST "comps" in Atlantic City casinos?

Who do you think has them. We used to get nice comps from Harrah's, but haven't been there in about 2 years. We are headed to AC next Saturday night for our 9 year anniversary of our 1st date.

Plus we'll get to see Big Bad Voodoo Daddy at Trump Marina that night..... BBVD is our collective favorite band, so it oughtta be a GREAT night! ( or maybe it is KC & the Sunshine Band .... but who cares? No kids! )

I've always had really good luck with comps at Taj. Are you looking at room rates or strictly comps?

I ask because I was looking at rates down there a few weeks ago and it seems like Bally's has the best weekend rates.

Just comps.... when I was playing at Harrah's we ALWAYS had free rooms there from S - Th.... as long as it wasn't summer. We don't stay there, or at any casino, really. We aren't big players..... we play slots of all donations up to $1.

Yep... 1:45 drive.

So far the best comps that I have got were from Resorts with Borgata following close behind. Harrah's is a hard place to get a Platinum or Diamond status because of the high amount of points required.

In general I spend about 300$ when I head to AC, we stay at the Resorts (comped rooms) and I also get food money. Anywhere else I play, I never get offered anything like that.

This being said, I think Sands has the worst comps

My favorite was Ballys but now Harrahs owns them along with Caesars and Claridge. Now you have to gamble over $4000 a year to get the tower rooms at Ballys. I was able to get them before with less but not now. I still get them but I have to spend more to do so. I still enjoy those 3 casinos the most as I never pay for a room or food, and always have at least a couple of $$$ in cash waiting for me. The Taj is okay but I like the others better.

You guys are bigger gamblers than I am. When I think comps I think "will I get enough to cover dinner at the buffet"? I doubt I'll ever drop enough down there to qualify for a comp'd room!

I've recently gotten great comps from Borgata, (I think Harrah's used to be good, but not so much any more) and we are not big gamblers by any means. We go maybe 4 times a year and probably "donate" $200-$300 each time we go. I get room comps all the time -- we just booked one for the end of June!

My oldest brother and mother have been long time regulars in AC and swear by the Borgata, they don't bother with the other casinos anymore. They get rooms, meals and have plenty of left over comps. My brother's wardrobe is made of of pretty much all Borgata merchandise. My mother also gets excellant bottles of wine from their wine cellar, comped.

I get offers for rooms from Taj every month. The good/free rates are always S-Th. I guess maybe I just never considered those as comps?
