my sister and I are coming to Disney Oct 23-29 and would like to sample some of the adult offerings at the different hotel lounges and inside the park. What and where are some of your favorites (anything in a souvenir cup gets extra notice) Especially interested in frozen lemonade with bourbon and dole whip with rum!

Dole Whip with coconut rum is available at Animal Kingdom all the time, and at the Refreshment Port near Canada in Epcot (during Food & Wine Festival).

If you want souvenir cups, you want Trader Sam's at the Polynesian. (It's really small, so if you have trouble getting into the bar, you can get the drinks and cups on the patio...and the patio also does a Dole Whip with rum (which is not sold at the inside bar and doesn't come with a souvenir glass, but if you're around there, or waiting to go inside, you can get one)

* Trader Sam's at the Polynesian has some great tiki drinks with fun tiki glasses you can take home.
* Dawa bar in Animal kingdom has some fruity cocktails and I believe they offer souvenir mugs. I like the Lost on Safari.
* AbracadaBar at the Boardwalk is new, I haven't been yet but they had some good looking cocktails on the menu.
* Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar at Disney Springs also has a great looking cocktail menu.
* The Territory Lounge at Wilderness Lodge is a more relaxing place to have a drink.

I'm sure there are plenty more places to check out, but these are the first one that come to mind.

I'll add:
The Nomad Lounge at Animal Kingdom is new and wonderful. Not crowded, very comfortable seating, and very good drinks.
La Cava del Tequila for the best margaritas
Brown Derby Lounge at HS has some good classic drinks and some good food options (the charcuterie board was great)

You can get souvenir glasses at Jock Lindsey's, too. I took home a Cool Headed Monkey this trip and there are at least two others you can buy.

I wasn't impressed by the Mexican margaritas but willing to believe I ordered the wrong things.

Grand Marnier orange slushes are divine. Trader Sams is decent (would probably be great if I hadn't had other tiki bars to compare it to.)

Other than that, generally found Disney property cocktails to be sugar water or undrinkable. I'll probably order wine next time- I was at least impressed by Jiko's wine list.

I think that's a good point. I don't think they do a good "pour" for the money. I tend to stick to beer, as I know what I'm getting and wine is certainly a good option, for the same reason. Don't get me wrong...I'll try one of the stronger drinks at pool bars but I think you get more "alcohol" bang for your buck with beer and wine. JMO.

I would also definitely recommend Trader Sam's, love the tiki terrace and the interior bar ( get a Mai Tai).

Also, for a very strong pour at a reasonable price inside the parks, go to the Rose and Crown pub in Epcot and order a Gin and Tonic (or vodka tonic or gin and club if you prefer), and ask them to make it a double. You can choose your brand of choice and it is quite reasonably priced.

My last trip to WDW in Feb I might've had a cocktail (or 10). My favorites were:

Mizner's Cooler - Mizner's Lounge at the Grand Floridian
Cucumber Margarita - La Cava
Whiskey Punch - Raglan Road
Mojitos were decent pretty much everywhere we went

I can't believe no one has mentioned the Lapu Lapu at Tambu Lounge (Poly) yet! :drinking1

I also like the champagne/raspberry cocktail at Narccoossee's bar.

Good point, definitely go to the Tambu Lounge and hopefully get a cocktail made by Walter. He makes incredibly strong drinks and is true professional through and through, one of WDW's best Castmembers in my opinion. He also can make just about anything and has extensive knowledge of classic Tiki drinks. I Would highly recommend asking for him to make you a Zombie if you're looking for something very strong that will go down easy. (His is a much stronger drink than you will find downstairs from the Grog Grotto)

I think it depends on the bar. I don't expect much from (and thus don't buy from) the pop-up bars where all the drinks are Sprite and sour mix for example, but at places like Trader Sam's and Nomad Lounge you're getting a good amount of alcohol. The 151 floater on my Lamu Libation was pretty generous and the Hippopotomaitais I've had have all tasted strongly of rum.

It definitely depends on the bar. And sometimes on the bartender. In no way do I feel the need to stick to wine and beer.

I collect tiki mugs, so during our stay I went to Trader Sams a few times and got the Pearl, the Krakatoa, and the Nautilus. The drinks were just the cost of getting the mugs, which are not sold separately (but they do give u a clean one), but in terms of taste I liked the Krakatoa the best. Would have gotten 2 more if my liver and our luggage space had allowed!

P.S. I tried the "grapefruit cake" cocktail at the Brown Derby lounge, and it was too bitter - yuck -- thankfully she let me send it back so I could get the almost equally priced trio of mini desserts instead, which were excellent :)

AbracadaBar was excellent as was Nomad Lounge at Animal Kingdom over the weekend. You can't go wrong with the Tambu lounge though.

I'll ask you because you mentioned it - is the menu the same at the tiki terrace and can you get the souvenir glasses, but are kids welcome there later at night and is it less crowded?

There is a thread for a monorail bar crawl you should look for. I also read a drink thread that said the green dragon is a good drink at the Rose and Crown in EPCOT.

I'd add California Grill just to get the nice view. Also at Yacht Club, Crew's Cup always has given us very good service and is kind of a cool little spot with some good food.
