Best coaster at MK

We have only been to HS once but loved the Rock n Roller coaster there.

What would be your pick for the best coaster at MK?

Define best? Best themed? Highest? Fastest?

If I had to pick one, it would be EE.

But if limited to MK, then BTM​

Hmm, MK is really family orientated, there is nothing of the level of RNR there. SM could be, but it's relatively slow and quite rough. Overall if have to go for one, BTMR, but that's probably mostly emotional as it was our first ever Disney ride. Still love it though

Probably the fastest/most intense. Closest to the speed and drops of Rock and Roller Coaster but at magic Kingdom.

For us the rankings are Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain(technically not a roller coaster, but great fun!), Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and then the Barnstormer (never ride anymore, kids too big, line too long, ride too short). Nothing quite as exciting as Rock-N-Roller Coaster but the Magic Kingdom is much more family (younger children) oriented. Cheers!!!!

Space Mountain provides the biggest thrills out of MK coasters. BTMRR would be second.

Space Mountain would be my pick, the classic original coaster there when WDW opened. It's being in the dark and the special effects that make it special.

All of the coaster at the MK are pretty family friendly, but that works great for us.

SM is the most intense but some don't like the dark. BTMR is my favorite for thrill (albeit mild) and length of ride. Splash Mtn isn't technically a roller coaster but the five story drop is fun!

At MK my pick would be Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. I would say Splash Moutain BUT I don't consider it to be a "Roller Coaster".

BTMR. The theming is so cool, there's a lot of detail at that attraction. One of the best rides on property.

At Magic Kingdom, I would say Space Mountain during the day, and Big Thunder Mountain at night (which is a completely different experience). If we don't limit it to just the MK, then I say Expedition Everest hands down. Best queue, best ride, best...disco Yeti...

I'm very partial to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and I have to be in the last car. Night is also a cool experience.

If you want surprises, do Space Mountain were you can't see. I find the cars to be very jerky though and hurt my neck a couple of times, so I've steered away.

I like Splash, but don't really feel it counts as a roller coaster since there aren't many drops.

Magic Kingdom's best roller coaster would have to Big Thunder, and that's not necessarily because it's so much better than the others, but it's a very authentic and classic coaster experience, it's fun any time of day, I've ridden it in the rain more times than I can count, it's great for a huuuge variety of ages, and it's not too anything really. It's just the right kind of coaster.

The MK coasters are not about thrills, they are about theming and stories. Yes Space Mountian and BTRR have moderate thrills and all the MK coasters are E ticket family coasters.

The theming is wonderful and the story telling rounds out the attraction.

SM actually opened a few years after WDW opened. The original WDW coaster was People Mover
