Disney resorts, not DVC resorts. GF and WL are the best IMO.

Love either of the Wilderness Lodge DVCs, The Grand Floridian, and The Beach Club.

It’s the lobbies in those resorts that have the best Christmas Devorations, IMO.

moving around at 7 months around Christmas time is tough - all of Nov-Dec is pretty much peak season for DVC.

But I'd probably vote for VGF, VWL and AKV-Jambo House as my 3 favorites...​

WL hands down. I would book your home resort at 11 months and see then see what is available at 7 months.

Poly does not have any one bedrooms, so if you want one you would have to book at a different resort. Poly only has studios and the bungalows.

The most impressive lobby I have seen during Christmas season is the one at WL, thus making BRV or CCV a choice. Close seconds are the GF lobby (and thus VGF) and the AKV Jambo lobby.

We had no problem getting a 1 or 2 bedroom at Copper Creek last dec. Loved it. So pretty and they had a photopass person in front of the big tree during the day.

GF....but good luck getting it! It is spectacular at Christmas time. The ginger bread house is quite a sight too!

I got one of the last 2 bed at VGF this morning at the 7 month window, on the phone at 9 sharpe (site was down for maintenance.) There were no other 1 or 2 bd available anywhere except OKW and SSR. This was for Dec. 7, 2018.

I would go for BRV or CCV, wonderful Christmas decorations. The lobby, fireplace.. just great. From there take the boat to CR and monorail to GF also a great Christmas location.

My top DVC resort at Christmas is one that I own. You might not have a choice at anything less than 8 months out.

The lobby decorations are really nice at Boardwalk, Grand Floridian and the Wilderness Lodge.

I agree on being on top of your booking for December. We own at Boulder Ridge and called on day 1 of the 11 month window and got wait listed. We are inside the 7 month window and can not get in anywhere including our home resort. Very discouraged and disappointed. Something has shifted making December almost impossible to book.

Yes, December is definately a 1st priority booking. What are you trying to book--studio, 1bdrm, 2 bdrm? Why did you call rather than do it online as soon as it came up? I am sorry you are not able to get anything. I have seen some movement and cancellations 3-4 months out, so keep checking. For instance, I own BLT, and booked last year 2nd week of Dec with 11 month advantage. Later, maybe 4 months out, not right at 6 or 7 months, Poly and VWL opened up for 3rd week of Dec, and I changed to those, freeing up my BLT 2nd week Dec timeslot. Things do move, though maybe closer than you want to wait for. Good luck.

We love staying at Boardwalk at Christmas time and we always make sure to resort hop to Grand Floridian, Poly, Contemporary, and Animal Kingdom to see all of the awesome decorations.

We are trying to book a studio. Actually that was a mis-statement on my part. I did do it online cause it was New Years Day which was the first day we could request.

I would completely agree with GF and WL. I just looked on the RAT and you won’t be getting a 1 bedroom at the GF the first two weeks of December, besides a small two day stretch.

Very glad I listened to the individuals on these forums and bought where we wanted to stay even with the higher point costs.
