Best Christmas Decorated resorts/areas

Is it crazy to consider coming to stay at a DVC resort just to monorail around and look at Christmas Decor and enjoy the resort? Just adults no kids this time.
Looking for opinions on the best decorated. I love Disney at Christmas

Not crazy at all! My husband and I love this sort of trip. My personal favorites at Christmas are Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom, with a random shoutout to Port Orleans French Quarter. It's so unique from the other resorts - it's always a stop for us. Plus then you could take a boat to Disney Springs and do the Christmas Tree Trail!

Sounds like a great trip! If you are only looking in the MK area, GF and WL are my top choices. I would also seriously consider taking the MK boat over to Ft. W and booking a holiday sleigh ride to see the campsite decorations there (you can pre-book by calling Disney). Also consider heading over to BC to see the chocolate carousel.

Not crazy at all! I haven't been in the holidays for about 12 years (going back in December!), but I still remember the Christmas atmosphere being like nothing I'd seen before. Or since, frankly.

This time round I've booked us meals at the GF, Wilderness Lodge, the Poly and AK Lodge - in large part because I want an excuse to nose around the decorations!

Wilderness, Animal Kingdom and loved teh giant Gingerbread house at Grand Floridian. In the past, at Yacht and Beach, they had a great gingerbread carousel.

We’re just back from a stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge and it is beautifully decorated. The tree in the lobby is very large and just gorgeous.

I haven't been since they built the tower, but Coronado was lovely at Christmas. White poinsettias everywhere.

I second this, and I’d add the Tower holiday decorations are also very impressive. We stayed in GDT last Thanksgiving and the tree in the lobby and overall holiday decor was definitely on point, in my opinion. It really made for a great stay/start to our holiday season.

I'm so excited to hear this! We're staying at GDT in a few weeks specifically because we've not yet experienced the holiday decor there yet & the pictures look so beautiful. I can't wait!

I love the decorations at GF, Wilderness Lodge and AK the best but let me tell you…GF is like a full Christmas sensory experience. The whole place smells like gingerbread and it just feels really magical in there.

Christmas is the best time at Disney! It is not crazy at all to stay and enjoy the amazing DVC resorts.

I did a solo monorail bar tour with my one free Dec evening in 2019. Really enjoyed that.

We want to see the Christmas decorations at WL and are debating between a dinner reservation at Whispering Canyon on arrival night or a breakfast at Whispering Canyon on departure morning. Does it matter for the Christmas decorations what time of day is best or are the lights on the tree on all the time? If it doesn't make a difference on best time to see the decor, anyone have opinions on which meal, breakfast or dinner, at Whispering Canyon is better?
