My wife and I woke up early and let our 2 children/spouses sleep in with the intention of meeting up with them at AK by 10:45. We drove to Epcot and parked in the AAA paarking lot. We rode Soarin and then Test Track using the single rider line. We grabbed a coffee, and then drove over to AK, parking in the CAA lot and arriving at the Christmas tree at the front entrance at 10:45. We met our children and then rode Mount Everest and then drove back to the Villas at WL arriving at noon. We grabbed a burger at Roaring forks and then took our Christmas gifts and opened them up by the quiet pool at the villas. The weather was beautiful and we tanned and swam, we all rented a sea racer, swam some more and then at 4:30 we all went and changed for our Christmas day dinner reservation at Whispering Canyon. It was a traditional Christmas dinner with Turkey, smoked Pork Loin and Beef Brisket. At 7 we all left and went to DHS where we rode Toy Story (using a special fastpass issued by our hotel.....long story) and then went to view the Osborne lights. At 9 we boarded a bus for the transportation center, hopped on the monorail and then hit main street and watched the fireworks at Magic Kingdom. It was so magical but so crowded. We then went back to the hotel via boat, hit the hot tub, had a few Baileys and we all retired for the night. First time that I ever did 4 parks in one day. This was our first family Christmas vacation in 5 years due to our children/spouses having their own lives.......but this Christmas day will go down as one of my fondest. Next year a grandchild will be here so it should be just as good. Happy New Year, everyone!!!

Wowza, you were busy little bunnies! Glad you had a great Christmas. :goodvibes

Sounds like you made some great memories and had a fantastic time! Happy New Year!

That sounds wonderful.....I would love to do that!!

Your story gave me goosebumps...what a great christmas day!!!

Glad to hear you had a great Christmas day too! We got up at our OKW villa, opened a few little gifts Santa had left by our small tree, made cinnamon buns, relaxed, then at 11 am hit the main pool. I kept saying "I'm at the OKW pool on Christmas Day - in a bathing suit!" Hubby and I shared drinks with my sis and brother-in-law at the Gurgling Suitcase while the kids kept swimming, then we had leftover turkey from our Christmas dinner the night before. Everyone else went to Hollywood Studios while hubby, my Dad and I watched Illuminations from our deck. It was a lovely Christmas Day for us as well (although not as busy as yours!). It was really nice to have the whole family together (15 of us) for the holiday, doing something different. I missed our usual traditions, but we'll do that this year!
Happy New Year!

wow that sounds amazing. can i be part of your family

And our Christmas day......
We woke up in our cabin on the Celebrity Summit and there were a few token gifts under our itty bitty Christmas tree and stockings were filled. We ordered tea, coffee, juice and pastries from room service, turned on the Christmas music and sat on the balcony enjoying eachother's company.
Then we headed to the pool deck to wait for Santa to arrive, pictures and gift from Santa then off to the top of the world bar for activities - balloon pop, cookie decorating, colouring, candy cane reindeer...... was fun.
We then met up with my brother and his family and headed to the Christmas breakfast buffet in the dining room then the kids went off to play around and we relaxed, watched the Christmas show in the theatre, packed (:( ) and just relaxed. The Maitre'd managed to conjure up a special turkey dinenr for us even though it wasn't on the menu (extra tips for him!!!) and dinner was followed by a brisk walk around the jogging track.
Was a very nice relaxing day - would definatly go away for Christmas again - loved having the family time leading up to Christmas and didn't miss the constant work/running around Christmas seems to have been for the last several years!!
