Best choice for the Fantasmic dinner package?

We are a family of 4, no dining plan. Wondering what peoples suggestions are for which restaraunt to choose for the Fantasmic package? Also, what is the price- it doesnt show online and I cant book for our trip yet. Thank you!!!!

NOT H&V!!!!!!!It is the only Disney restaurant I have said never agian to. YOu can get the same food at your local cafeteria for less than half the price. We have eaten at both Mama Melrose and Brown Derby, and we enjoyed both. We thought BD was better, but it is also more expensive. It really depends of what atmosphere you want and waht you want to spend. BD is $53 per adult, and MM is more in the $35 range. BD is more "upscale" food and atmosphere. Mama melrose is more casual with pretty good Italian food.

We have done Hollywood & Vine and Mama Melrose with the package and we did Brown Derby for lunch.

You could not pay us to go back to Hollywood & Vine -- awful food, filty restaurant and awful service.

We were NOT impressed with Brown Derby. Again, bad service and mediocre food. We've not given it a second chance because I can't see using two table service credits for it per person.

We've dined at Mama Melrose five times and have never had a bad meal. Is it gourmet Italian food? No; but the food is good and the portions are huge. We've also always had great service.

Hollywood Brown Derby(price range due to seasonal pricing)

Adults (ages 10 and up) = $50 - $58

Children (ages 3-9) = $13 - $19

Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano(price range due to seasonal pricing)

Adults (ages 10 and up) = $35 - $38

Children (ages 3-9) = $13

Hollywood & Vine(price range due to seasonal pricing)

I agree with the above, DO NOT choose H&V. It is just no good for dinner (Breakfast buffet is good for little kids though!). You want a good Disney dining experience, go to BD or MM. I'd say make your decision between those two based on how much you want to spend.

If price is a factor, MM is an okay option. BD has better food and though some have had fine service at MM, I haven't. As others mentioned, the food at MM is just okay, not quite up to par with Olive Garden even. BD is a tad expensive, but it's a much nicer experience. However, given that you could save $40-$50 or more (depending on your kids' ages), MM might not be such a bad choice, and the food they serve will be slightly more kid friendly. Good luck~
P.S. The seats in Fantasmic actually aren't that special, but what the package does allow you to do is show up later and still get a nice view in the reserved section (there are no terrible seats at Fantasmic), and you can scoot out ahead of the massive crowd, as well, since you're on the side of the amphitheater.
