Best chocolate cake on Disney property?

Day5CanadianChocolateW.jpg

This is such an amazing cake!! I'm not a big chocolate cake fan at all, but this so decadent and moist; its incredible. It doesn't take strongly of whiskey at all; but rather the whiskey enhances the chocolate flavor of the cake itself and adds to the over all moistness of the cake. The frosting is a rich, smooth, velvety chocolate fudge which sweetness is perfectly complimented by the crisp orange marmalade that they drizzle on the side of the plate: perfection!

My family loves me now because I'm a cake baker/decorator by hobby and I've recently figured out a very close re-creation of this cake! :teeth:

My dd's and I love the chocolate volcano cake at the Kona Cafe. Very yummy!!!

:thanks: For this great post, now in 2 days I will be on the HUNT for these great Cakes! :thumbsup2

Non-chocolate, the bread and butter pudding at Raglan Road is amazing.

But I've definitely not had a better chocolate cake on Disney property than DisneyQuest. There are a lot of good chocolate cakes, but I love frosting - and the Lauras (or whoever it is) cake has a lot of it! Mmmmm. I only get it maybe twice a year, it's just too many calories!

The one at Cinderella's Royal Table. I had it in October, and it was delicious.

I had the chocolate cake with choc frosting at Tusker House in AK and it was great! Sounds like the others posted at Flame Tree and Pizzafari. Yum, yum.

My sister ordered me an all chocolate birthday cake on a WISHES cruises last summer. I believe it comes from the boardwalk bakery and it was fabulous. It wasn't chocolate but we also had another cake on an Illuminations cruise for my parents 50th ann in 2004 (again the Boardwalk Bakery) and it was the 2nd best cake I have had in WDW.

Thanks again for all the replies! All of this chocolate cake sounds soooo tempting!! :teeth:

Maybe Disney should offer a new tour "Choco-holic's Keys to the Kingdom". A tour of Disney World where you sample all the chocolate cake and eat yourself into oblivion. :faint:

Sign me up for that one! :yay:

I couldn't believe how good the chocolate cake was a Tusker House in AK! It was SO GOOD!!

Just so you know I got up this early to do a search for this particular thread! We'll be at MK today and I am having a "hormonal craving" aka PMS need for chocolate cake!!

And this thread just needs to be tacked to the top anyway! :cheer2:

we had the best chocolate cake at cosmic rays starlight cafe (MK) and tomorrowlannd terrace noodle station (MK)

it was the same at both places, cupcake size with chocolate frosting, in a little individual size plastic container. it was the dessert included with our DDP counter service.

it was so good!
we were already full after our meal, but we "were gonna just have 1 bite".....lol. we each ate all of ours!
