Best chocolate cake on Disney property?

My son had the Chocolate cake at the Main street Bakery and I had a bite...Yummy!! :goodvibes It is a HUGE piece! It is old fashioned chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. Super moist and super good!! :thumbsup2

We had the best chocolate cake on the Birthday Illuminations Cruise last fall. I think they ordered it from the bakery at the Boardwalk--but I am not too sure. It was absolutely the best cake I have ever had.

Now this may very well be the most important thread on Dis! Kudos to the OP! :thumbsup2
Finally there's someone who thinks like me! :lmao:

Wow, it looks like I'll have to have a piece of chocolate cake every day of my stay just to comparison shop among all these places. :rolleyes1

Thanks, everyone! :)

Whiskey cake?? Jack Daniels Cake?? Guinness Chocolate Cake ??

I am staying at the POR so i have the JD cake right there-- and i will be sure to visit Canada and the UK on our dining plan!

YUM!

:smokin: Maddhatir :hippie:

The Black Forest cake at Sommerfest CS (in Germany) at Epcot! Sorry this isn't the plain cake you are looking for (MOIST chocolate layer cake with chocolate icing, loads of whipped cream and cherries), but ohhhhh soooo delicious! You should try it! You can order it by the slice (they also have apple strudel, mmmm!), and if you're like my DH, chase it with a Beck's Beer!
:rotfl2:

Last April, my DS loved the chocolate cake at POFQ. Nothing fancy, choc cake with choc frosting but he wanted a piece almost every night with milk.
He even mentioned that he hopes they have it again this year.

Wicked good chocolate cake at Big River Grille

Cheers!

The hands down winner is at Fulton's .... oh my .... I usually bring home half of it ... it's huge and the icing is like soft dark chocolate fudge ..... it's out of this world ..... I can just taste it .... thanks loads, now I'm gonna have to go to Fulton's today after work and buy a piece to go. And it's so moist!

I just want you all to know that after reading this thread yesterday, I had a dream about chocolate cake last night! I'll be at WDW for my birthday at the end of April and one of these chocolate cakes is going to be my birthday treat!

Has anyone tried that volcano cake at Rainforest Cafe? Was that good? Thought we might try that.

Personally I was not crazy about it. For the price it wasn't anything special.

This will be a big surprise and is totally out of left field - but DisneyQuest. About the very first thing I ate at WDW was chocolate cake at DisneyQuest counterservice.

If I recall, it was served huge cupcake style, but was definately rich moist chocolate cake, not muffin or cupcake mix, and had a thick layer of delicious chocolate frosting on top. Simply chocolate cake. No fancy toppings or ingredients or extra flavorings - and it was very very good :thumbsup2

Cheesecake Factory, DisneyQuest. I belive it's called Lauras cake - one of the best I've ever had (they have it at regular Cheesecake Factory's as well). Loads of calories, it's a huge splurge for me - and many servings. :)

Wow, I'm amazed at what I've been missing by not knowing about all this fabulous chocolate cake to be had all over Disney property! I usually satisfy my chocolate craving at WDW with a brownie or cookie. But this time I will definitely have chocolate cake on my mind!

The trouble now is WHERE TO BEGIN? ;) So many places to choose from!

Hey, this is my 2000th post! Talking about chocolate in my 2000th post....How perfect! :bitelip:

Let me know if you can't see the above pic. I will post the link. Really worth seeing!

Whoa!!! That cake looks like it's to die for. I must try that some time during my disney going trips!!! I'm going this October so I'll have to try it out. Thanks for the pix.

I had the best chocolate cake, believe it or not, at the CR foodcourt! It was a chocolate layer cake with many layers, and chocolate icing in between them. The entire thing was enrobed in a darker, possibly ganache, chocolate. It was so good and fresh. I had it 3 times the last trip!

I think we may pass up the Rainforest and just try the cake at the Cheesecake Factory at DQ (we planned to go there anyway).

Thanks to the OP for starting this thread! I can't wait for some chocolate cake!

If you're not talking about the lava versions--for everyday chocolate cake the best we had was at Tusker a few weeks ago. Makes me wonder if the CS's all share the same...

Main Street Bakery! It's just good old fashioned chocolate cake, I'm hungry just thinking about it.
