DS20 is going on his first WDW trip since outgrowing his dairy allergy. He is still avoiding straight milk and ice cream, but most other dairy is ok now. Disney has always been awesome for allergies, but he's excited to try some new things. What are some of your favorite cheesy, snack, or dessert items?

I like the cheese plate at Flying Fish because it includes brillat savarin
Oh it we did NOT like the Flying Fish plate this January. The Gouda was so old and left out the knife wouldn’t cut it. Honestly… we found the plate offensive. We tried multiple boards this trip and Baseline in HS won our vote.

Will think on this! But remembering when now 27 yo DS, who was anaphylactic to even traces of whey or sodium caseinate could eat dairy and not need an epi pen and an ambulance. Best cheesecake n property almond crusted cheesecake at Narcoosees.

My memory is that the other cheeses are just kind of average (except the blue, which is also good). So I just ask them to make the entire plate (or most of the plate) brillat savarin, which they always do.

They change the cheeses at The Flying Fish - adored the cheese plate in September and continue to dream of it, but wasn’t as enamored with the new line up in December. So call or ask ahead.

One of the staples of the Food & Wine festival is the warm raclette cheese - it's very good! I don't know if the trip will be during the festival, but if so it's a must-get. Some people don't like it because it is kind of a "stinky" cheese. They may have something similar at Flower & Garden or Festival of the Arts too, but I am not sure (and of course F&W can change, but it's been around a while).

I also really like the ice cream at Salt & Straw - Disney Springs. They have some wild flavors, but some "normal" ones too.

We are going during the Food and Wine festival, so we will have to check out those menus when they come out.
