Best charter for Stingray City?

Which charter's were used for Stingray City? Would you recommend them? I know it is early, as we do not sail until 9/11/03, but my DH is researching Stingray City and the charters that can be used and noticed that there are several to choose from. I was wondering which ones are recommended (or that we should stay clear from). We will be traveling with DS (8 yr old) & DD (4 1/2 yr old).

We just returned from the west. carib. and used Nativeway they were excellent. We really enjoyed the whole tour. It took a little bit to get used to the rays, they are VERY friendly. Some people really freaked out, I guess they thought they would not really have contact with something alive
Anyway we would use Nativeway again. The cost was $25pp we also went to coral gardens for snorkel after stingray city. Plenty of fish to see.

Are you talking about chartering the boat for yourselves or just taking a tour?

If you want to charter a boat I would definitely recommend Captain Marvin's. We chartered the Miss Anna on our 10/11/03 cruise and had an amazing morning! Our captain was very knowledgeable and friendly. When we got to the barrier reef he dove down and coaxed a moray eel out of its cave several times so we could see it. At Stingray City he made sure each of us got to hold the stingray and that pictures were taken. He also set up several other photo ops by family (we chartered with friends) and the pictures are wonderful!

I would definitely recommend Captain Marvins and I hear their regular tours are great as well.

We just got back from our 10/25 Western Caribbean cruise aboard the Explorer of the Seas and we also used Nativeway.

I would highly recommend them and when we do the Disney Magic Western we will be rebooking with them for sure!

You just gotta keep your eyes open when you get to the Island as there are thousands of people and tons of tour groups! If you can't find them, just ask the people at the Info Desk and they will point you in the right direction.

I will be posting my cruise trip report hopefully in the next 3 or 4 days and I will have a review about them in it!

I heard many good things about Cap't Marvins...I had a bad experience w/Capt Bryans and would never recommend them to anyone.

That said....the stingrays are so cool..you are going to have a great time!

Thanks for all of the replys. You all have been very helpful. I have placed all of the sites in my favorites. As I sit here in the freezing cold Chicago weather, I keep dreaming of a Disney Cruise. I cannot wait to go!!
