Best Character

At Disney Land, the Cruella devil is AMAZING. She had the accent, the look, she was AWESOME. Absoltely amazing,.

ITA with Cruella. I have a picture of her that still freaks me out. At the world, I was very impressed with Tink. I know they have many, this one was awesome. It's the one with the dimples.

I had the best interaction with the Bolt crew last week. I wore a Bolt shirt, and Bolt loved it! It had a quote from the movie on the back, and Bolt just had to point it out to Rhino. It was a lot of fun. I just love the characters.

The most memorable character interations from last year's trip both occurred in Epcot.....

Alice in Wonderland at the UK pavilion and Mulan in China Pavillion. My then 2 year old DD absolutely loved them both and both characters were sweetest, most sincere characters I'd ever encountered. Although there were lines behind us at both, neither "rushed" us. We got some of our best photopass pictures with Mulan.....there wasn't a photopass photographer with Alice, and I so wish there was, but I was able to get a few quick snapshots of my own.

I've seen 2 really great characters-Pluto when I was 7 and Tigger when I was 18.

Pluto managed to get my dad to turn red at a character breakfast just by messing around with him. That was the best thing EVER! We still have a pic of my dad beet red with Pluto licking his face.

Tigger is my fave non-human character and I love getting to meet him. We stood in line for a few minutes at DHS (then MGM) and he gave me a big hug and was 'joking' around with me. I couldn't stop laughing.

Our best character greeting was with the mad hatter and Alice. My ds was wearing a shirt with a wrecking crane on it and the coversation went like this
MH: "He's going to smash you"
A:"What do you mean? How could he smash me. He's just a little boy"
MH: "Well, he's got a crane on his shiirt"
A: "I saw a crane once. It flew right into my hair"

It was hilarious and so typical of the characters. They have such quick wit. It was great!

We met lots of wonderful characters, but our most magical experience was with Sleeping Beauty in Toontown in Oct 2007. She was so sweet and spent so much time with my children. My two year old sang "Once Upon a Dream" to her and she joined in at the end. After our visit with the other two princesses there, Sleeping Beauty waited for us and asked my children if they would like to accompany her on a walk. She took them by the hand and together they left the area and walked down a hallway having a private chat. She gave them big hugs and told them that she was meeting Prince Philip and wished us well on the rest of our visit. It was pure Disney magic!!

The best so far was at DHS right by the animator's academy.

We were on an adults only trip with friends. DH and I and a friend of ours had gotten to WDW a day early and decided to hit the drawing class first thing in the morning.

We skipped the show and the place was deserted. Sorcerer Mickey, Minnie and Stitch were out though, at first we just observed as Stitch and Mickey were playing with the coloring games in that area. I had on my barrette stitch ears, I bought them online from Disney Tokyo.

I walked over to Stitch and Mickey and Stitch's and Mickey's handlers told Stitch I might be his cousin. Stitch looked me all over, made me turn around, but he wasn't convinced because I was missing a tail.

So somehow we ended up playing mirror, he'd stick his finger up his nose and so would I, etc etc. We were at it for a good long while and even ended chasing each other around. While Mickey laughed.

On the mean time DH was talking to Minnie and making her blush by kissing her hand. It was a riot and we had the handlers in well... stitches!

We met a lot of characters on our trip, but my favorites were Minnie Mouse in DHS and Chip and Dale at the main gates at Epcot. My dd8 was talking constantly about wanting to see Minnie Mouse (even talked in her sleep about it :lmao: )...and on the 2nd day of our trip, there she was, bright and early at DHS, with only three other kids in line. She was perfect...so girly, flirty, with exaggerated movements, hugs, kisses, etc. DD loved it; she said as we were walking away, "We could go home now, and I'd be happy. " :rotfl:

Chip and Dale were terrific; even with having to stand relatively still for a meet and greet, they had a sense of mischief about them! :thumbsup2

I know it is kind of a show. But you can interact as well. I've never seen a better impersonation of Jack. The pirate tutorial is great! Specially this guy. He's so good, and so resemblant to the original!

I would also vote for Cinderella's step family. Hilarious!!!

From our trip 3 years ago, we met Chip (without Dale... or was it Dale, without Chip. I can never remember) -- DS3 (who was 13 months old at the time) wasn't interested and just started crawling around, so Chip (Dale?) got down on "all fours" and started following along.

It was just a very sweet moment, and made for a better picture and memory than the typical "meet the character" posed shot.

This time, when DS3 met them, he got his hat stolen:

Captain Hook at DL was great. He interacted with my sister and I - we had no kids at the time - and he was hilarious. She stole my sister's sunglasses and then noticed I had an engagement ring, but no fiance' around, so he went and found me a new one. He brought over a boy who couldnt have been over 10 and the poor thing was so emabrassed he turned bright red! But he was laughing.

And the Fairy Godmother was fantastic. She sat down and and spoke with us for probably 10 minutes.

In DW, Aurora was amazing with our DD. She sat with her and hugged her and our DD - who was 13 months at the time - LOVED her. It brought tears to my eyes.

Pluto wins the best character award for us. :thumbsup2

He was just totally fun and foolish while we were at breakfast at 'Ohana in January. The table beside us asked DH to take a pic of them as a group, and when he got up to do so, Pluto comes crawling over on his hands and knees and starts pulling on the back of DH's pants, just being a complete pain as the guests at the table (who DH was trying desperately to take a pic of) were laughing hysterically at his antics.

He made a HUGE production about signing an autograph for DS on his nose:

He dropped by our table, at one point, and decided to rest and relax on DS's lap:

Before we finished our breakfast, he even dragged a chair into the middle of the restaurant, took DH by the hand, made him sit down, then draped himself over his knees and laid there. Our son, being a typical silly 13-year-old boy, thought Pluto was a riot....and still talks about this meal as the most fun he had at Disney.

When we were at Ariel's Grotto, Chip and Dale came in. They were really goofy and one of them (I don't remember which one) started a "fight" with my older brother. When they left, Dale (I'll just use his name) turned around and kept looking at my brother and pointing. He also did that point-to-the-eyes and then point-at-my-brother thing. It made us all laugh!

I didn't read through all the posts, but I had to agree with the OP. The Queen of Hearts is GREAT!

I also loved the mice, Suzy and Perla at 1900 Park Fare. They were very sweet and attentive in their interactions with my kids.

For me, it was Queen of Hearts. I met her at the Halloween Party Sept 07 , and while I am not a big character fan and can't recall much about that movie, I was so impressed by her acting abilities. She did the best job anyone I have ever met of any character.

Same here!! As soon as I read your title I thought that I had to comment on the Queen of Hearts - but you beat me to the punch!

She made my Mom laugh so hard when we were in MK almost 10 years ago, and I'll always always remember that - it's just a great memory of my Mom and the Queen of Hearts bonding!!

When visiting in 2000, my sister and I were on a quest to get as many signatures and photos that we could. Our hubbys were golfing and we were both childless at the time.

We were having our "lunch" of Mickey Bars around the entrance to American Adventure and saw Peter Pan and Wendy strolling around so we headed over. Two guests got to Peter before we did so we had a nice chat with Wendy as we waited our turn. Didn't mean to evesdrop, but I realized that Peter was speaking Japanese to the guests!! WOW!! They were obviously VERY excited because their English was a bit limited. The conversation went on for at least 5 minutes. When it was our turn I made a comment to Peter about how impressed I was with his language skills and, keeping in total character he replied, "Ah shucks, I HAD to learn it ... Tokyo Disney, you know!!"

Now we have had many, many, many wonderful and fun interactions with just about every character in the World but I have to say, Peter impressed me the most!

Talking Trash Can at the Magic Kingdom - generally in Tomorrowland.

Talking Tree at Animal Kingdom.

We met PUSH, but did not find the talking tree(s)- are they still around?

We love all the characters. BEST interaction so far- Mad Hatter & Alice. DD was wearing her pixie wings as we heaed to meet the fairies and the nbanter about these wings had us all laughing...

I can still hear MH : "Are you an insect?"
