Just wondering which Character events/shows you'd recommend with 2 boys ages 7 and 4 for those of you that have been to Disney? I've read that the Hoop de show is fun for boys and the Poly Luau is not. I'd also think the breakfast with Cinderella is more for girls, etc. Any suggestions would be great!!! TIA

My boys enjoy them all. I think Chef Mickey's and Liberty Tree would be more enjoyable if they aren't going to enjoy the Princess meals.

Pirate Cruises are great for the boys. There are several to choose from now.

There's nothing "girly" going on at Chef Mickey's, Liberty Tree Tavern or Garden Grill. If you child doesn't mind Pooh, the food at Crystal Palace is good. I'm taking my 8 year old DS to lunch at CRT. He thinks it's cool to eat in the middle of MK, he's willing to tolerate the princesses.

Any time a thread like this comes up, I always feel the need to chime in, we love Chef Mickey's, it is fun for all ages & genders!

I agree with the other posters Ohana breakfast, Chef Mickey's, Liberty Tree, Garden Grill. Keep a look out for T-Rex will be opening. That is not a character dining, but it is owned by Rainforest and I would say that would definately a boy thing.

I have 2 boys as well and I totally agree they need boys dining with Pirates, Star Wars, Power Rangers, Pixar. I could go on and on.

Chef Mickey's is almost a must if you like character more than your dinner!~

What is T-Rex? We have 3 boys, too. Thanks!:goodvibes

I have 3 boys--7, 4, and 2.

Disney does not offer anything geared to boys alone. It is gender neutral or for girls. A little sexist don't you think? ;)

My boys love Chef Mickey's, Garden Grill, and Liberty Tree Tavern. The Hoop De Doo is also a hit for them. Others they enjoy (but not necessarily a favorite) is O'hana's for breakfast and Donald's Breakfastsaouros (sp).

What is also a hit (not food related) is a trip to the Harmony Barbershop for a cut, colored hair with a Mickey Head and Mickey pixie dust. Never have tried the pirate cruise, but I might send my older ones this next trip.

We did have dinner at the castle last trip. My boys really enjoyed it since it wasn't "too girly"--no princesses roaming about--and it was in the Castle and they received knight swords. My oldest did tell me he didn't want to do anything were princesses were going to be there, but he'd go for dinner again.

My boys loved Ohana. We skipped all the princess stuff too. T-rex might be fun, whatever that is!

My boys were 6.5 and 2.5 in September when we went. There absolute favorite character meal was Chef Mickey. They also liked Crystal Palace alot...it was our 1st day at MK and we made ADR's for 1st thing before park opening:cool1: They also adored the Hoop Dee Doo and I wasn't sure if they would have liked that or not. They also had a balst at The prime Time Cafe at MGM:thumbsup2
Happy planning!
