Best Character Meal for Toddler?

Hey everyone. Our family is going to Disney in Sept for hubby's R&R from Iraq. I haven't been to Disney since 3rd grade and hubby has never been. Last time I was there I had breakfast with minnie at the polynesian, alot has changed in 15 years..haha..Anywho, my little girl will be 2 years old when we go and I was wondering what you guys think would be the best character meal for her? She's 19 months old now. She watches mickey mouse clubhouse and can recognize the disney princesses. She calls them "mincess"...hahah but I don't know if the princess breakfast would be a little too old for her. What's a good meal with a large amount of characters? Thanks for the input!

We had breakfast @ Hollywood & Vine where they have a Playhouse Disney breakfast. It had Little Einsteins and Jo Jo. Our 15 mth old loved it. We weren't thrilled with the service. We also had a breakfast at our resort BCV, Cape May Cafe. Minnie, Goofy, and Chip were there and they spent more time with each table. Minnie was at our table 3 times!

We are planning a Chef Mickey breakfast for our next trip.

Crystal Palace in MK has the Pooh characters and the buffet makes it easier with little ones, since there's no wait for food to come. We did great there with a 2 year old. If you really want Disney characters, I'd suggest Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary for the same reasons.

I would go with Crystal Palace with the character from Pooh or Hollywood & Vine with the friends from Playhouse Disney. Have fun!

I came back to Disney in 2003 after a 25 year lapse. It was so magical that we went back every year and then DH bought into DVC last year. I have been on several "mini" trips without him (he works too much ), I'll use any excuse.....girls only, nieces birthday, son home from Iraq(good excuse ).....upcoming excuse...grand baby walking and talking .....she'll be 20 months in May when we go. Sooo to get back to your question...she screamed bloody murder at Santa and wouldn't get close enough to the Easter Bunny to touch him...she isn't great with full masked costumes. We are taking her to the Cinderlla Dinner and the Hoop De Due Revue. We are going to try the Crystal Palace because Pooh and Tigger do a little song and parade through the restaurant that I think she will enjoy. If your tot is OK with full masks there are so many good choices. Liberty Tree Tavern is also alot of fun. Chip and Dale, Mickey and Minnie, Pluto, and Goofy are all there and they are very interactive. Chef Mickey's can be alot of fun (food just OK). The Princess dining at Norway is really good, all the princess are there and you get a picture (food was excellent).

This past Sept we took our 2 yr old. I was apprehensive about going because our son would not get within a 10 ft radius of the Easter Bunny nor would he ride a simple little boat ride that went in a circle @ 1 mph. But as soon as he got to Disney World - he rode EVERY ride & loved them - not scared of anything! He also loved ALL of the characters. He hugged & kissed them & would get his picture taken with them. We probably have his picture with 50 different characters.

This past Sept we ate at Chef Mickey's for breakfast w/our 2 yr old. It has Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck, Pluto & Goofy. IMO the food was very good, the character interaction was great (saw most characters twice) and it's a fun/open atmosphere.

We went to Chef Mickey's, Hollywood & Vine, and Donald's Breakfastosaurus last year. My kids were 3 and 2. They loved all three, but I think Hollywood & Vine was their favorite. To be fair, they love the Little Einsteins, so that probably helped...a lot. But the characters were great, and there was a couple times where the kids all got up and danced, and my two LOVED that part. My guess is, though, that you can hardly go wrong .
