My DD6-DD9 want to know which meal is the best to see the Princesses and have some interaction.princess:

Is it best to book the last time slot of each meal time?

Also, how does the dining plan work with a character meal, or best to pay on CC and save your meals on dining plan?:grouphug:

For us we absolutely love Akershus for breakfast. The character interaction is outstanding, they really make time for the kids. When we ate there in March my DD8's favorite princess, Jasmine, was there. She told Jasmine how much she loved her and her movies....Jasmine was so excited she got down to my DD's level (she was sitting) and started talking about each of the movies and what my DD's favorite parts were then she had my DD sing "A Whole New World" with her....my DD thought that was the best breakfast that she has ever went to. The food is really good there also, especially the cheesy potatoes....YUM! When we dine there we always try to make a ADR for before park opening. In December we have a 8:05am ADR and the park opens at 9am, so by the time we are done with breakfast the park is just about to open and we can head over to the more popular attractions and get FP for TT and head straight over to Soarin for little to no wait. Enjoy

We did Akershus last week for dinner and the Princess interaction was wonderful! My grand daughter was thrilled with meeting all the princesses:Belle, Snow White, Aurora, Ariel and Jasmine! The look on her face as she spotted each one come into the room is something that I will remember forever! My grand daughter really wanted to meet Jasmine and was so happy to see her at the dinner. In addition the PSB meal includes a picture package with Belle. We got 1-5x7 and 4(or 6?) 4x6's. The food was different but pretty good; we had the salmon and beef tips.

The only ADR we could get was 6:45PM and I think we were called at 6:50PM(we had arrived a little early).

We use the Dining Plan its only 1 TS per person, Its got great food (we like lunch) and you get the photo for free (Its nice not to have to pay another $30.00 for photos). The characters are sweet they spend time with you and its not so rushed (the tables are little pushed togther but if you go at an off time it wont be so bad)

Here's another vote for Akershus. Love it.

I would say that you should try to avoid the last booking time though, I think that might be a risk. We've been in there when it is absolutely packed and never felt rushed. We always have breakfast and have never done the lunch though.

Another great choice is the 1900 Park Fare dinner. Cinderella is the only princess, but the Stepmother and Stepsisters are hilarious. It is so much fun and totally one of our favorites.

Enjoy!

In terms of character interaction, I would also suggest Akershus. We usually have dinner there, but on our last vacation, we had breakfast. None of us really liked the food at either meals, but the Princess try very much to spend a little time with you. However, I would suggest that you ask her questions because my daughter talks about them constantly, up until they get there and then she doesn't make a peep.:sad2: Most of the time the princesses try to speak to her and ask her questions, but after a few nods and shy smiles, the princesses usually asks if she wants a photo with her. There were a few times they danced with her and taught her how to pose for the photos like a princess. They do generally try to spend a little time with you. We've only had a few instances that the princess came and leaned towards my daughter for a photo and said little more than hi. But, generally, that doesn't happen. On such occasions, I am a little disappointed since we came to see them and none of us like the food. But the next princess usually makes up for it. And my daughter smiles from ear to ear and discusses how fun it was to meet them, once they leave. :love:So it's worth it. I suppose she is too shy, but some of the princesses try very had to keep talking and if not, they dance with her. So that's nice.:)

Just wanted to add: At 1900 Park fare, we thought the characters were hilarious. Lady Tremaine, Drizella and Anastasia were in full character and interacted well with the guest. Although, I think Lady Tremaine may upset some children if they don't know that she's just acting. My daughter laughed at everything she said, so it was fine. Anyways, we haven't been back since we really didn't like the food - we don't like buffets. But the characters were hilarious. The problem though, was that it took a long time for Cinderella and the Prince to make their way over.

Just got back Sunday from a week in Disney where we did both of the Princess Breakfasts (CRT 9am Sat 26 Sept, Akershus 9:30am Wed 23 Sept) and Akershus definitely won out.

At Akershus, the server (Hege, I belive) was great and attentive, always bringing us out more of whatever we needed whenever we needed it. The food (especially the potatoes!) was delicious. Most importantly, the princesses were wonderful with the 2 1/2 year old. Each of them spent a little time with her and did not just do the rushing sign, picture, move on that we saw a couple other places. The inclusion of the photo package also made it a great deal for 1 TS credit (and really, not too bad if paying out of pocket either).

CRT was a bit of a let down. We got there late (I swear that bus said Magic Kingdom...) and really felt like we were being punished for it. We were rushed through the Cinderella picture, rushed through breakfast, the princesses were ok, but not near the level that they were at Akershus (except our Belle and Jasmine. Come to think of it, every Belle we met over the week was wonderful), and the server only seemed half paying attention and was dripping orange juice everywhere every time she topped us off (even almost getting my camera on several occasions, located halfway across the table). Looking at the bills for the different meals, I'm glad we decided to pay OOP for this one though, as the 85$ bill for 2 adults was really not worth the 2 TS credits each it would have cost us (most other 1 TS meals were around the same price...).

Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

There seems to be consensus here for Akershus. We did both Akershus and CRT on our last trip and the interaction was much better at Akershus. Belle was a little rushed getting her picture made with DS because there were several in line behind us and the photographer was making sure the process was going quickly. But other than that all the other princesses spent a lot of time at our table and posed for multiple pictures. It was the opposite at CRT. We were lucky to be the last in line and Cinderella spent quite a bit of time with us downstairs at CRT. But the rest of the meal seemed very rushed with the princesses just stopping by for a quick hello and picture.

We have done the Norway breakfast twice and the character interaction was amazing, the nieces had the time of their lives...and the food was excellent.

Did 1900 PF dinner once, the characters were a blast but the food was horrible
