Best Character Dinner for a picky eater?

What's my best bet?

DS10 is happiest with plain food (chicken, burgers, sausages, potatoes but is now too old for kids menus.

Where's the best place for us to go? We'd prefer a buffet, and I want to try CP, but I'm not sure he'll eat well there plus he's a bit too old for Tigger etc, (although DD5 will love both the food and characters at CP  )

Chef Mickey's would be perfect for the characters but I'm not sure about the food choices...

Any suggestions will be gratefully recieved.

Thanks!

Hi Donnababe,

My DD13 and DS10 still love the Crystal Palace and they do have plenty of food for my son- a picky eater.

My younger sister is also a very picky eater and she likes Chef Mickeys, too .

Maybe if you take a look at the food photos thread and check out the two restaurants it might help you decide:surfweb: I know it helped me decide on my ADR choices :goodvibes

I don't think you can go wrong with either choice.

My dd12 still gets food off the kids section at buffets! They have pizza, chicken nuggets, and mac & cheese at cm's and cp I believe!!! My whole family still loves all the characters!! Also, the dessert bar at cm's is great!! Check out the menus at allears.net.

Thanks! :)

Edit: When abouts in Feb are you going, familyS? 9th-23rd here!

I'd say go for CP, there's lots of choice there and adults can help themselves to the kids buffet too so I'm sure your ds will be fine.

We like Chef Mickeys much better for dinner and CP for breakfast... my kids.. both who are picky eaters (but a little older) love BOMA... the names of the foods sound weird but the food is really great.... I have seen tons of kids there. And they do have a childrens section with things like mac and cheese and chicken strips.. I think they even had pasta there the last time we were there. There is always Liberty Tree Tavern... it has ham, turkey and beef along with mashed pot. and veggie... plain food... cooked well... great character interaction as well.

Another thought is Hollywood and Vine... while I really don't particularly care for this rest. the kids love it...

My very very picky son likes Chef Mickey most and will tolerate CP. Though it's not a character meal, he also liked Boma a lot.
