Best Character breakfast?

Which is the "best" breakfast as far as character interaction? Is there anywhere you don't have to get a buffet? My kids aren't big eaters.

We love breakfast with Minnie at the Plaza Inn. It is a buffet, but most seem to be, and honestly, we're paying for the character interaction, not for what the kids eat or not.

I agree with both PPs. Even though it is a buffet, the character interaction can't be beat. Even with 4 adults, the characters were fantastic with us, playing, signing autographs, and taking pictures on our last trip and we will always go back. Somebody correct me if I am wrong but it is one of the cheaper breakfasts as well. But like Emacat says, you are paying for the interaction with your kids and not the food.

Storytellers has a menu to order from. My understanding is to make sure you turn down the OJ beforehand though or else you are kind of locked into the buffet!

Or paying the outrageous price for the OJ plus the cost of your non-buffet meal which puts you almost up to the cost of the buffet without the benefit of the variety of it. We just went buffet the two times we ate at Storyteller's and the one time we ate at the PCH Grill character meal.

I'm with the PP who recommended Minnie's for character interaction. We have done that one a couple times now, and even with adults and tweens only, the characters were very playful and visited frequently throughout our meal. Food at Minnie's was ok; we thought the made-to-order omelets were the best way to go.

Food was good at Storyteller's, but the character interaction during our most recent visit was very disappointing. Goofy's has been hit or miss for us. PCH Grill was almost too long ago to be worth mentioning. Minnie's was a hit for us, and we will definitely go back.

Check out Storytellers Cafe's Chip 'n Dale Critter Breakfast. Besides getting the buffet, I believe you may order from the menu (a la carte).

However, I agree that Plaza Inn has the best character interaction with more characters going around.

I enjoyed Minnie's last year. The characters were wonderful, especially Briar Fox and Fairy Godmother. They really took the time to make my son grin from ear to ear. In a few weeks we are trying Storytellers for the first time - I cannot wait!

I've always had better character interaction at Goofy's. The 2 times we have done Minnies we haven't enjoyed the interaction as well, and one of the 2 visits, we had 2 characters (Hook and Eyeore) in 90 minutes...

We loved the interaction, and the show that the kids take part in, at Mickey's Surf's Up in the PPH. Going to try Storytellers next time (thinking about Minnie's though...)

We have been to all the character buffets. Minnie's is the best by a long shot. Always sit inside at minnie's for the most interaction with characters. The best part of the buffet are the omelets. Always check with disney as to the best times for characters at the character breakfasts. Minnie's is the cheapest of all the buffets, it is the best for character interaction and food.

We like GK much better than Minnies, the kids opinion a few years back when we did both was back to Goofy's, a coverted to breakfast fan.

We have a reservation for Goofy's for dinner on NYE. We prepaid for a second character meal. I've been debating between Minnie's or Surf up w/ Mickey.

Does anyone know... are there photopass photographers at any of the restaurants that take your picture with the characters. I've been to a character meal at WDW and they took your picture with the host characters (ie: breakfast w/ Mickey included a picture w/ Mickey). I was at Minnie's in June and they had a photopass photographer but the pictures they took were only of my family. The characters weren't in the pictures. It seemed like a waste and we didn't purchase.

Any insight.

The photographer takes your picture with Pluto at Goofy's. I think it's supposed to be Ariel at the princess meal. They didn't do the photograph thing when we went to Storyteller's, and Surf's Up was the Stitch breakfast when we last went to it and I can't remember if there was a photograph or not.

In May we had our photo with Mickey at Surf's Up in PPH (now that it is hosted by Mickey, used to be Stitch) and with Gepetto at Goofy's Kitchen.

If it's in your budget, and if you're at the parks for 2 days I'd highly recommend you do Breakfast with Minnie at DL, and then Storytellers at the Grand California. Both have tons of great characters, and offer two totally different experiences.

We are already doing 2 breakfasts (Surf's Up is a no brainer for us, great show, great character interaction and decent food), dinner at Napa Rose and and a lunch at Ariel's Grotto (we'll be three generations, as my mama and I are taking my daughter, just us three). Can't add another breakfast, but just may...

Not many of you have mentioned Ariel's Grotto. Is it worth it? Daughter is not really a huge Princess fan anymore. Is it more than just the princesses?

It is just princesses. We haven't done the breakfast there but we really like the lunch. DD is almost 5 and princesses are her thing right now. If you DD isn't a huge princess fan its not worth it IMO.
