In your opinion what is the best character breakfast for a 2.5 year old boy. He's a typical boy and loves Mickey and Minnie.

I would do Chef Mickey's or Tusker House for the fab 5. I also love Play and Dine at Hollywood and Vine and Cape May Cafe, which I think are both better for that age than the other character meals.

With a 2.5 year old, my vote is Garden Grill. I found buffets very difficult with small children and love that they bring the food to you so you can just sit, enjoy and meet the characters. You may also want to consider O'hana breakfast for this very reason.

Chef Mickey's, without question. We've done the vast majority of all character meals and this is the one that gets our repeat business the most. Tusker House would be high on the list for my kids. We've also enjoyed Ohana and are trying it for a second time this trip. The only (non-face character) meal we've never tried twice is Garden Grill. We had great character interaction there, but my picky eaters at the time (this was several years ago) barely touched their food.

I have to give Cape May Cafe 5 stars. Just was there and loved it. Food had vastly improved in the last 5 years and character interaction was top notch. Not impressed by Tusker House at all except characters. Food was meh and too big and too chaotic. I kinda feel the same way about Chef Mickey's. I hear Garden Grill is the place to go.

Our Garden Grill breakfast was fantastic! The food was hot and delicious and the character interactions were awesome! It was easily our favorite character meal.

Thanks I booked Tusker house because I want the Jungle Book fast passes but I'm considering doing a second one that's not inside one of the parks.

We had a great time at both Crystal Palace and Ohana with my 2 year old boy who also is a big Mickey fan. Both were a lot of fun, but Ohana was definitely more relaxing since the food is brought to you. Next trip we are doing Garden Grill for just this reason.

Tusker House, as others have mentioned.
Also, one of my very favorite Disney experiences ever was taking my son to Mickey's Backyard BBQ when he was 2.5. It's perfect for that age, you get to dance with the characters, including Mickey and Minnie, and the kids can be up and moving the whole time if they want. Plus, there's unlimited Mickey ice cream bars, beer, and wine.
