Where would you say is the best character buffet in both quality of food and interaction with characters. Trying desperatly to make a decission. It will be my DH, DS12, DD8, DD5 and myself. Thanks for the help. ;)

I consider the food at all the Disney Character Breakfasts to be excellent quality, as long as they're buffets. The preplated breakfasts and the family style meals (a la CRT) never seemed hot enough or prepared very well.

That being said, we have always enjoyed the CB at the Beach Club's Cape May Cafe. The usually have Minnie, Goofy, and Chip and Dale. The characters here seem more relaxed and available. They are always playing "tricks" on each other and often get the guests involved in the mischief. They will sit right down at your table and mime and mug for at least 5-10 minutes each (if you invite them to).

Being located in a Epcot resort may have something to do with it. There aren't the same number of diners as compared to Chef Mickey's or the Crystal Palace. Although those two CBs are also very good, the interaction at Cape May is much better.

My two cents, Steve

Our favourites are Crystal Palace, Donald's Breakfastosaurus, Chef Mickey's and Cape May Cafe.

All are character buffets and I have always found the food to be hot and plentiful.

Hope you enjoy whatever you decide to do!!!

Glad to hear that about CM at BC. We will be at BCV in Sept. and I was trying to decide where to do a character meal with ds (4). Cape May would be so easy, since we'll be right there. I think I'll make my ps today!

With the age of your DD's you may concider Cinderella's Breakfast or the Princess Breakfast at Epcot even though I'm not sure if DS would enjoy them. I also enjoy Chef Mickeys at Contemporary and Crystal Palace with the Pooh characters at Magic Kingdom. If you are going to go for one of the MK breakfast, try to get an early ressies before park opens so you get to walk down the street by yourself practically and take advantage of great photos without the crowd! Hope this helps.:)

To us, the best character breakfast all around is at 1900 Park Faire. The selection is outstanding, we love the made to order omelettes, and the childrens buffet is the best anywhere.

The service is top notch. You will never go with an empty glass of juice or coffee, either!

As for the characters, they are GREAT! When we were there, Mary Poppins and Bert were coloring with the kids in the lobby, while Pooh, Tigger and Alice in Wonderland made the rounds. We spent lots of time with each character, and Alice was just delightful, borrowing my DD's crown, and loaning her a bobby pin to keep it secure... she even did the honors of pinning it in. DD was beside herself! We like the fact that some of these characters aren't regulars in other character meals, but then they have mixed in familiar characters as well.

Can't wait to go back!

Thanks for all the input. Just made ressies at Cape May Cafe for 10:40 (only available time) for Fathers Day.:p I hope DH and DS, DD'S will be excited;) I'm going to keep trying to get in earlier, if not we will go to the EE park and catch a few attractions and then have BK. Do yall think we will have enough time or am I cutting it close?

We like the late character breakfasts. A quick snack in the morning holds my kids over until a big, late breakfast. Then we skip lunch. I guess it's just a preference.

Cape May is our favorite. We return every trip.

Have a great time.:D

If you are going to do EE morning on a Sunday, it is at the MK... so when you leave the MK, do so about 50 minutes ahead of your PS... catch the bus to the Beach Club Resort, and you will be all set.

Have a great time!:)

We've done quite a few of them....by far, Chef Mickey's is the favorite of every one in our family, kids and adults.
Park fare would be a second choice...but both of them, breakfast only!!!!!

Even though we found CRT to be the most magical experience, the food at 1900 Park Faire was the best, and the character interaction was great. The absolute worst for character interaction was Donald's Breakfastosaurus.

It's hard to pick just one. We've had wonderful meals at CP, CRT and Donald's.

There is something magical about eating in the castle, and we enjoyed the food at CRT. The character interaction was very good.

The character interaction at Donalds has always been the best (other than H&V which is now closed). The food is very good and the service has always been vdery good too.

Crystal Palace holds a special place in our hearts. DD was absolutly amazed at meeting Piglet when she was 2 1/2. The food (both lunch and breakfast) is very good. Service could be better but character interaction was always been great.

We had great character interaction at Donald's Breakfastasaurus in AK last October. The characters came around and around and were teasing my two DS's and they thought it was great! My DH loved the food (which actually was the biggest concern as he is a picky eater). I had the best, crispest bacon there that I've ever had on a buffet! We all have fond memories of that breakfast!

Our all time favorite is Donalds at AK. This is a breakfast buffet, the food was hot, delicious and plentiful. The characters were amazing friendly and attentive. My daughter had one a Donald baseball hat that we had Donald sign on the "bill" of the cap. He spent a lot of time with us. He is our favorite character!!

Our all time favorite meal at WDW is the Crystal Palace breakfast..... Chef Mickey's is a very close second!!!

Have to say Donald's Breakfastasourus was excellent a few weeks ago. My brother's family enjoyed the Crystal Palace in March.
